Michael Papajohn to return in The Amazing Spider-Man?

Is the actor who portrayed the burglar/car jacker in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films returning to star in Marc Webb's reboot The Amazing Spider-Man? Click here to find out...

Michael Papajohn is a famous actor/stuntman from dozens of hit films and CBMs like Spawn, Hulk, Jonah Hex (and who recently appeared in Thor). However, he is most known for his role as The Burglar/Dennis Carradine, the man responsible for the murder of Uncle Ben, in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3.

Mr. Papajohn and myself follow each other on Twitter. On August 17 last year, I (under my former username of Art1991) asked him if given the opportunity, would he appear in the (then unnamed) Spider-Man reboot.

He replied:

Last night, this status appeared on his Twitter feed:

Intrigued at this, I asked if we could expect a return of Dennis Carradine?

He wrote back:

This is enormously interesting if Papajohn indeed was working on The Amazing Spider-Man, making him the only person outside of Laura Ziskin and Avi Arad to be involved after the first three films.

Now obviously this is open to speculation. He could or could not be playing the Burglar or another role entirely. He could even be just doing some of the extensive and impressive stuntwork we've seen in the past few months. However, his involvement in The Amazing Spider-Man film is news to me and I felt I should share it with you!

Whoa, great find man. It'd be interesting to see him reprise his role, he did the part justice in Raimi's franchise.

I just hated that they "changed" it to force Sandman to be the killer. Was not needed. At all. It was better that Peter was the catalyst for killing Uncle Ben. Not something he couldn't prevent.

Wasn't it posted a while back that he was going to be in the Spider-Man reboot or am I imagining things?

@MovieTheaterLad I'm not against the theme of forgiveness, but why rewrite Spider-Man canon like that?

@EasterBunnyKiller MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY! BRING BACK J.K.!!! He WILL be voicing J.J. Jameson in "Ultimate Spider-Man"

It would be awesome if Tobey Maguire do a cameo in The Amazing Spider-Man. As well as J. K. Simmons, of course.

@MovieTheaterLad it was still a thief in Ultimate. Never read 1602.

@VenomShock I wholeheartedly agree.

J.K. Simmons is J. Jonah Jameson
Tobey should bump into Parker in the street as a random guy having a bad day lol but not treat it as a cameo but make it noticable XD

Has anyone noticed the latest teaser poster for this film? I had a heart attack when I read MARVEL STUDIOS above the logo

The cameo is probably that concierge guy that was always giving Petey a hard time. Don't remember his name but loved the character.

I wouldn't mind seeing this dude reprise his role as Dennis Carradine. It be cool if they make him into a big time villain in later films, but it's very unlikely

Strange... when I watched this movie I seem to have discovered a bizarre lack of Michael Papajohn. Hmmmm.......
