Michael Papajohn is a famous actor/stuntman from dozens of hit films and CBMs like
Spawn,
Hulk,
Jonah Hex (and who recently appeared in
Thor). However, he is most known for his role as The Burglar/Dennis Carradine, the man responsible for the murder of Uncle Ben, in Sam Raimi's
Spider-Man and
Spider-Man 3.
Mr. Papajohn and myself follow each other on Twitter. On August 17 last year, I (under my former username of Art1991) asked him if given the opportunity, would he appear in the (then unnamed)
Spider-Man reboot.
He replied:
Last night, this status appeared on his Twitter feed:
Intrigued at this, I asked if we could expect a return of Dennis Carradine?
He wrote back:
This is enormously interesting if Papajohn indeed was working on
The Amazing Spider-Man, making him the only person outside of Laura Ziskin and Avi Arad to be involved after the first three films.
Now obviously this is open to speculation. He could or could not be playing the Burglar or another role entirely. He could even be just doing some of the extensive and impressive stuntwork we've seen in the past few months. However, his involvement in
The Amazing Spider-Man film is news to me and I felt I should share it with you!
