THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Honest Trailer Will Remind You Why We Now Have SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

With Spider-Man: Homecoming set to swing into theaters this weekend, The Screen Junkies crew have now released their "Honest Trailer" for the Spidey flick we all love to hate. Check it out after the jump.

The Wall-Crawler is set to make his triumphant return to the big screen this weekend in Spider-Man: Homecoming, so what better time to take a look back at the movie that ensured Marvel Studios regained the rights to the character in the first place; "the crappy sequel to the premature reboot", The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Truth be told, I thought TASM 2 definitely had its moments - but this latest Honest Trailer does do a great job of highlighting the various reasons the film ultimately fell on its ass.

Check it out below, and be sure to share your own thoughts on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in the comments section.

@NicolausCopernicus - Well to be fair that was a partnership thing they did with Cinemasins. They will do the Honest Trailer while Screen Junkies does a Cinemasins video on it. So doing it now is actually just Screen Junkies legitimately making an Honest Trailer for this movie.

@NicolausCopernicus - That one was done as a crossover with Cinemasins. They did an honest trailer while ScreenJunkies did a sin video.

Best thing this movie did was suck so much ass that we now have Spidey in the MCU. Thank you, Sony and Marc Webb.

they [frick]ed up Green Goblin ... that's the main reason it sucked. not to mention DeHaan acting was little over the top too.

@jerryblake - So you're Dane DeHaan, you're wearing green puke all over your face, your hair looks like a Super Saiyan starter kit and you're encased in some robo suit.....do you really think the word "subtlety" would spring into your mind?

I liked Garfield and Stone (their characters were annoying though), the action scenes were decent, and the ending with Gwen dying was well done. That's about it.
