THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3 Logo Revealed!

Dear God, that logo is something we've never seen before in ANY of the Spider-Man movies ever. Just look at it! Why didn't Sony think of this before?!? This logo... I can't even describe it in words... SPECTACULAR! ULTIMATE! SUPERIOR! Dare I say it?!? AMAZING!

Aaaaand yup, it's the same old "The Amazing Spider-Man" logo... But with something super astounding: A 3 on it. I mean, when we got a "2" on the sequel, I was super pumped up. But a 3?!? Didn't expect that, didya? Welp, I wish Sony started changing the title up a little bit for once... be creative, ya' know? My idea was that for every sequel, Spider-Man's title would change, like the sequel being "The Spectacular Spider-Man," and then for the Sinister Six, "TheUltimate Spider-Man," and for an epic-end movie with Spider-Man dying or something, "The Superior Spider-Man."

But hey, what you see is what you get...

So. Much. Wow.

Uh oh..here comes Jollem Troll-em defending this "amazingly" bad Spider-Man franchise again.
Never occurred to me & obviously not the no-talents developing these films but using Spectacular,Sensational, etc.
for titles would be very cool buuuuut noooooo...keep the crap coming Sony.

I wish they'd be more creative. Add something to it, like The Web of The Amazing Spider-Man, or something like that, you know? Add some spice to the title.

@sameoldthing think about how it would be like 10 years or so years later, and someone who hasn't heard of these movies wants to see the first one, well if the titles were like amazing, then spectacular, then ultimate, then some people at first glance, wouldn't be able to tell where to start. So adding a 2 and a 3 does make some level of sense.

No one complains about the comics having Numbers in their [frick]ing titles.....

But there are assholes who complains about them in the MOVIES.

Has it ever occured to you that sometime there will be so many [frick]ing spiderman MOVIES, that there will be no more new cool titles tu use?

I think that its ok to use numbers in cbms titles since there almost 50 [frick]ing years of story to tell. The problem is when you put it in original movies, IMHO.

@MrCool
I see your viewpoint & it's not wrong to think that but all that's doing is catering to the ignorant.
It takes only scant minutes to figure out the order.
Star Wars did that all those yrs ago & it's much more creative & cool.

also @Jollem, saving them for another reboot? after the shit storm sony has gotten for rebooting the raimi franchise you really think they would do it again? that would just be idiotic on their part, maybe they will save it for spin offs, but definitely not a reboot.
Mrcool210
Mrcool210 - 6/29/2014, 5:33 AM
@sameoldthing True, but star wars does have numbers in the title still with things like star wars episode 4 a new hope, there is no way to have it both ways with spider-man, you couldn't do the amazing spider-man, then the spectacular spider-man 2. And The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Spectacular, would just sound weird. Plus, i have to agree with richard, they would just run out eventually, and i think they want this series to stay, so numbers is a good way to keep things going, unless they pull a halloween and starting pulling subtitles out of their asses at number 6.

At least the foriegn ones have coolish titles to go with the 2. The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro. Maybe they should stick to that method from now on

Rise of Electro? More like Demise of Electro ;)

Listen, there is a precident set for the many Spider-Man comic book titles that could & should be applied to the films.
Using Amazing was a good start but adding Spectacular,Ultimate & even The Web Of Spider-Man would be slick & differentiate these from the Raimi franchise.
It also pays homage to the comics themselves. It's a win-win.

@Jollem
Your so unoriginal & repetitive it's no wonder you enjoy these mediocre Spider-Sony films.
Iron Man only ever used Invincible it the comic title so it wouldn't work for that property.
Spider-Man is in the unique category of having a lot of great book titles.
Is there anyone working at Sony films that have the slightest but of creativity? Obviously not.

Really people? You can't figure out an order of films that are released & need numbers like your learning 1,2,3 / A,B,C's..?
Simply look at the back for year of release if it's so hard for you.

I'm kinda shocked at the level of reasoning here.
Sequels are now a constant so let's be more imaginative than silly numbers.

What's even more weird is the Angry Birds film. :/
They be turning it to Soldiers using explosive birds to combat zombie/mutant pigs.
Mrcool210
Mrcool210 - 6/29/2014, 5:45 AM
@Jollem, yeah, thats why they have spin offs planned, and a fourth film after marc webb is done with spider-man, just because one director leaves doesn't mean they will reboot, the only reason they rebooted in the first place was because they had already been working on it during the development of spider-man 4, just in case something happened. here, they have spin offs, and plenty of future movies planned, they are not going to reboot again. at least not any time soon.

You must have wet cement for brains pal.
THIS ENTIRE ARTICLE WAS CREATED TO BRING ATTENTION TO THE TITLE YOU MORON!
So yes,I do have a problem with it & that's why I'm talking about it here.

I imagine my disdain for the boring titles would be lessened if the actual films were good.
Thank goodness we have Captain America movies, well made with good titles.

AC1 - 6/29/2014, 5:49 AM
Glad they're sticking to formula (was anyone expecting any different?), glad there's no tacky subtitle as subtitles rarely work well (Captain America got lucky). As for each movie getting a different prefix (e.g. Amazing, Spectacular, etc.), that'd be a bit of a waste - this way, those can be saved for rebooted series', which we all know will happen eventually. Plus, you want some kind of continuity between the film titles in each series. It shouldn't look like a mess of random prefixes and subtitles when you're reading off the installments of each individual series.

And it's not like there's a huge amount to use anyway. Ultimate is tacky, Web of Spider-Man would be a mouthful for a movie series, Superior doesn't really make sense... all he really has is Amazing, Spectacular, Sensational, and possibly Friendly Neighbourhood (although that'd be highly unlikely as it seems too childish for general audience tastes). And, I suppose if Marvel ever got the character back, Avenging Spider-Man or even just Marvel's Spider-Man.
AC1
AC1 - 6/29/2014, 5:52 AM
@sameoldthing the fact that sequels are constant is exactly why they need to save these titles and not use them all up in one go - because they'll run out of titles too quickly, then have to resort to making up subtitles to differentiate future movies, until eventually the whole thing looks like a convoluted mess. It's easier this way, and it also looks better because it's more uniform.
sameoldthing
sameoldthing - 6/29/2014, 5:59 AM
@AC1
Gotta disagree.

I will use Star Wars again as an example, yea they have the "episode" designation but not on the actual titles.
Maybe I'm also accustomed to reading actual books, comics & novels.
A continuing series doesn't use ridiculous numbers like your in kindergarten, they have actual "titles".
A numeric system can apply to the series like issue numbers but using that in actual title is amateurish.

So yeah...the numbers evoke ignorance, you fit that bill?
