Variety have posted an article on Sony Pictures, and how they feel the studio are dragging their feet when it comes to developing new movie franchises like many of their rivals. But of course one big franchise they do have is
The Amazing Spider-Man, and we now know that they will be taking a page out of Marvel's (comic) book and expanding that universe to include
The Sinister Six and
Venom - in fact Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chairman Amy Pascal reveals a plan that's even more ambitious than we previously thought.
"We are expanding the universe so that we have 'Spider-Man' movies every year," she tells Variety. Of course, there will also be a third (and most likely fourth)
Amazing Spider-Man flick, and the site confirm that Marc Webb will be returning to complete his trilogy. The third pic is dated for release in June 2016, and has Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner on board as writers. More at the link below.
