THE SUICIDE SQUAD Gag Reel Features Flubs, Frodo Impersonations, Deleted Scene Glimpses, And More

Ahead of the upcoming Blu-ray release, Warner Bros. has shared a gag reel for James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, and in addition to some hilarious out-takes, it gives us a look at one of the deleted scenes.

The Suicide Squad won't hit DVD and Blu-ray until October 26, but James Gunn's bonkers DC Comics requel is now available to purchase on Digital formats, and Warner Bros. has marked the occasion by sharing an official gag-reel for the movie online.

There are some very funny moments here, including Flula Borg improving his lines and hijacking the helicopter scene as Javelin, Idris Elba inadvertently hitting David Dastmalchian in the family jewels when he tosses him a gun, John Cena reclaiming Frodo's lost finger (and then sucking it), and more.

We also get a brief look at one of the film's deleted scenes, as Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior) finds a distraught Polka-Dot Man (Dastmalchian) in the back of the van. This is most likely the sequence we heard about involving Abner and The Thinker (Peter Capaldi) outside the nightclub which results in the latter losing his earlobe!

The Suicide Squad may have underperformed at the box office, but the movie now has a chance to make a big impact on home release. Do you plan on picking up a copy on Blu-ray when it hits next month? Let us know in the comments.

This had the disadvantages of having a day/day release simultaneously in theaters and HBO Max. Also had the disadvantage of having an identical title to one of the most maligned comic book movies of the last ten years.

@MCUKnight11 - I would also add that I think HQ is just not compelling enough as a character to get people interested. The cinematic version is pretty one dimensional. In terms of 4th breaking insane characters, Deadpool is certainly more popular and has been must more successfully translated to film.

@Dotanuki - that should be “4th wall breaking”

@regularmovieguy

Malignant pulled in 53% less views on HBO max that conjuring 3. Although I wasnt a fan of malignant it was alot better than conjuring 3🤦

Humans suck, huh?🙎

@AmazingFILMporg - I loved Malignant. They purposely undersold it in the trailer.

@Nightmare -

Ehh, they had no idea what the film was and I dont think wann knew what to do with the film to be honest.

The film was half steppin the whole time. Didnt commit to the crazy. It wanted to be wacky but with the wann style and it just didnt land🤦

@AmazingFILMporg - It was intentionally schlocky. It was basically Basket Case & Upgrade.

It was a mixture of movies like those and some giallo, John Carpenter and Brian de Palma inspired. It's not perfect but its dumb fun and gore overall. Well shot and scored too.
