Zack Snyder Says You Don't Design SUPERMAN As One Movie

While chatting about the possibility of a sequel Man Of Steel, director Zack Snyder says there is no plan to make a trilogy like The Dark Knight. However, he did go on to say that you don't design a Superman movie as a one-off.

A lot of goodies from Empire's latest issue, which features Man Of Steel, have been making their way online. Part of their conversation with director Zack Snyder was asking him about the possible Justice League movie, as well as Man Of Steel sequels. While he remained tight-lipped about Justice League, but he did offer up a hint as to whether or not they expect Superman to get a sequel. Explained Snyder, "We didn't design the movie like Batman [i.e. as a trilogy] but I don't think anybody would say you design a Superman movie as a one-off." While this is an interesting tid-bit, keep in mind that Superman Returns was suppose to have sequels. However, due to it's lackluster box-office and poor reviews, they never came to fruition.

In regards to Justice League, it was revealed yesterday that Snyder might already have signed on to direct. DC's other superhero properties will depend heavily on Man Of Steel, and whether it can prove financially successful for Warner Brothers to give the green light on some lesser known heroes. let's see how MOS will do. It could be best Snyder movie to date.
If it's really good, then we will probably see him directing JLA movie anytime soon. And MOS sequel. That's a lot of work for you Zack ...

Future Past, you’re a joke. You think you’ve been shit on??! Let me tell you a little story about myself.

I was selected to be a background extra in Iron Man 3 this past summer here in my hometown of Wilmington, NC. I have been a life-long Marvel fan and believed I was getting to take part in a life-long dream of mine; being in a blockbuster film, more importantly, a Marvel film. I was selected for a 2 day shoot which included around 100 extras, RDJ, Paltrow, etc. I showed up for filming on day-one and made my way through wardrobe and make-up. About an hour into everything I was called out by a guy with a bull-horn. I made my way over to him where he proceeded to tell me that because my email address matched the screen name I use on this website that “Marvel was very upset with me.” And that they wanted me to leave the set. I was forced in-front of everyone to pack my bag and leave like I had done something wrong. Basically, I was degraded as a person for being too big of a fan of something I love.

So, Future Past, believe me when I say your little “issues” ain’t shit, bro.

So here I sit, incredibly happy about all the amazing superhero movies coming out. I myself am most excited for MOS but am a fan all all superheroes and I am highly looking forward to seeing marvels next phase. As I scroll through the comments thinking how hero fans are lucky to be around to see these movies I come across a potential large spolier for the upcoming Ironman movie. I do not know if this statement is true or not, irregardless it has put me in a fowl mood. I ask that something be done to prevent such information from being posted without a proper warning. I am extremely disappointed to have seen such a thing and hope to be able to still enjoy the movie.

Okay, I hate Superman Returns as much as the next guy right now, but SR received generally positive reviews from movie critics...

It was supposed to have a sequel as well, but it didn't do well at the box office.

But movies seem to earn a lot more today than they did 7 years ago, so we'll see how MOS performs

In My Opinion Superman should feature in 8 DC films, I know its alot but in 'My DC films Universe' I'd have this

MOS-Zod
World's Finest- Luthor, Metallo, Deathstroke and BlackMask with Batman
Justice League- Darkseid
MOSII- Brainiac/Kandor storyline
Trinity- Superman/Batman Apokolypse with Darkseid and introduction of Supergirl
Justice League II - Crisis on two earths/ Tower of Babel
MOSIII- Doomsday, Luthor, Superboy, Bizarro
Justice League III - Kingdom Come/ Darkseid's return

ofc its very hard to pin an actor down for 8 movies so I'd expect 5 maybe 6 so 3 MOS films with 3 Justice League films

Superman Returns has negative reviews? 76 percent is negative? When Thor is at just a 77%? I guess they were both bad? Lol.

@Wonderer - They seem formulaic. But those titles fit very well.
