VIDEO: See Henry Cavill & Antje Traue Train For MAN OF STEEL

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

Faora was criminally underused in the movie. they should have taken 15 minutes out of the never-ending CGI building demolition scenes and used them to explore her character instead.

SPOILERS

I also wouldn't mind if somehow (weather released by Brainiac or Darkseid or something) that Faora returns in a sequel, with NamEk (The eight foot tall "Non" of Man of Steel) seeing as they were trapped in the Phantom Zone in the ending. I could see Faora and NamEk return alongside Doomsday OR part of Darkseids army!

Faora is boss.

Also I agree, very easy to for Faora & co to return. All you would need is a device to open the Phantom Zone back up. Also, Dr. Hamilton and Colonel Hardy are trapped there as well.

Best fight in comic book movie history, easily. Might actually be the best fight in film history. I'll have to think about it.

Faora shows why there is no reason MCU can't put Ms. Marvel on screen. Also examples for Flash and Quicksilver were displayed as well.

Antje Traue should be the next Bond girl or in next Bourne movie.

@theSHOCKER - It's only been out for a few days. It hasn't even opened in my country and many others yet. It's still very much Man of Steel's time to shine.

@silverdog - Ummm...no they shouldn't have. She was genetically engineered to be the way she was. Zods right hand, and a killing machine. There was no more of her character to explore than what you saw on screen. Same goes for Zod. He was created to be Kryptons protector, and nothing else. I swear, its like some people don't even listen when they watch a movie.

Maybe Faora can come back somehow from the Phantom Zone someday, assuming she didn't die in the crash, that would be a sweet returning villain.

Antje Traue is my choice for Wonder Woman. She has the beautiful looks and eyes, the right body, and the acting chops for a warrior and still play the woman part of what Wonder Woman needs to be.

@parissun I'm not sure what you thought was so great about the final sequence. Superman ended up killing Zod in a way that he could have done 20 minutes earlier . He was trying to save a family you say. So Superman gets driven to killing someone over them threatening to kill a family of three but is not nearly as disturbed when Zod ship topples buildings or when Zod himself cuts a building in half. I think the only superlative this could win is most irresponsible fight scene.

I agree. If she hadnt played Faora, she could have made an excellent WW.

"So Superman gets driven to killing someone over them threatening to kill a family of three but is not nearly as disturbed when Zod ship topples buildings or when Zod himself cuts a building in half"

You're taking like he had some control over those things..Zod did that WHILE they were fighting and Supes was attempting to stop him..it was made a little difficult by having Zod's fist slam into his face at every opportunity.
HAILHYDRA
HAILHYDRA - 6/17/2013, 7:47 AM
@Rormachine Zod had already destroyed a building by the time the fight started (potentially killing thousands of people) however it isn't until he threatens to kill the cookie cutter Hollywood family Supes gets angry enough to kill him. If he was as upset about the buildings falling over as he was the prospect of Zod melting that family he would have killed Zod the moment he had him in a headlock instead of hesitating. Zod's death was worse than Bane's. At least Bane's made sense.

Also, I'm not a craven for violence but if they were gonna show Zod post neck break it needed to be more traumatic.
