Many on sites and magazines etc starting calling it a remake but Mania.com reported this week that the movie will be a all new take on the mythology of resurrection and revenge and it will not focus on the original Crow, Eric Draven story;

A source very close to the development effort says that Norrington is set to deliver his script for the film this very month. Their source says that the story is "very different from the original - a whole new story about a whole new character."

Stephen Norrington's original statement was how the movie would a be totally different reinvention!

The original Crow movie was gloriously gothic and stylized and a cult classic, the new movie will be more realistic, hard-edged and mysterious, almost he said documentary style to it when he told Daily Variety.

LEEE777 - Im thinking this is the best Crow news ever, i don't think nearly anyone wanted a complete remake of the cult classic The Crow!

Anyway, this sounds like its going to be amazing, with this and also Predator not being remakes, lets hope the lot at Robocop think the same way! ; )
