'Plastique' Set To Make An Explosive Debut In Season One Of THE FLASH

We already know of a number of familiar faces from the comic books who will be making an appearance in the first few episodes of The Flash, and we can now add the villainous Plastique to that list. However, it sounds as if she could soon become an ally to the Scarlet Speedster...

TV Line have a very interesting scoop about yet another DC Comics character who will be returning to the small screen (after appearing in Smallville). "Sgt. Bette Sans Souci – AKA Plastique – will make her way to The Flash this season. The series’ incarnation of the metahuman is a fetching young redhead who was a bomb specialist with the Army before she was injured by an IED in Iraq. Since being exposed to the Central City explosion, she can turn any object into a bomb with just a touch of her hand. Not a bad comrade for The Flash to have on his team, eh?" Wait, a "comrade"? In the comic books, Firestorm and Killer Frost play a role in Plastique's origin, and with both of those characters set to appear in The Flash, it should be interesting to see how much of that backstory they decide to incorporate here. It's also worth nothing that she later joins the Suicide Squad, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see Plastique make an appearance in Arrow...

The god damn DC tv universe is killing it. I'm still pulling for them to connect the tv and movie universes together. Why create this vast expanded tv universe in the first place?

@TonyChu they will not and should not ever ever ever connect them. It's too limiting for the writers on both sides and they are perfectly fine on their own. It's not happening they have said it a million times already

If she's in the debut then she must be pretty dope. Most likely set up to be in the rest of the season like Deathstroke in Arrow.

I know its a pipe dream but my whole concern is when it comes to the Flash in particular. It would be pretty weird to have two actors playing the Flash at the same time. I know this worked for Smallville and Superman Returns but let's be honest Justice Leauge is going to have a much bigger impact than Superman Returns. Fan are going to want to see more of the Flash after the movie much like when it came to the heroes after the Avengers. The comic book genre is on fire right now and the general audience are gaining more intrest in these characters. So why not have this expanded universe much like Marvel is doing. Let it be known that Captain America 2 literally saved Agents of SHEILD, the second half of season one was great. Thus both tv and the movies can benefit from each other. DC is looking to get on Marvel's level, so why not take a page from their play book and create this expaded universe?

Know little of the character. I think she appeared on "Batman Beyond" once.

Smallville had a terrible version of Plastique. I shiver to see what'll be done to her next..

Soforizo@ Yes because when it comes to female casting of comic book characters it should always be done based upon whether the actress has huge tits or not -rolls eyes-

I'd be very surprised if she isn't on the Flash half of the crossover episodes with the Villains being the Suicide Squad (without Lyla,Diggle, and Slade).
