I wish I knew but no further details have emerged. If I had to pick I would go with Wally West just because he is more current. What do you think? I really liked Barry Allen in the last Flash TV series. Maybe they will go with that name just because it still might be fresh in The Flash fans minds?

that would actually be kinda cool if it was Barry Allen, and then dies at the end (or 3/4 in) and then makes way for Wally. I'm interested in what they could do with the costume for the movie. I think of all superheros, that could be one of the toughest to translate to the screen.

I certainly hope they don't kill Allen off in the first film. Only nonfan would say something so retarded. He has to deal with his Rogues, and at least Eobard Thawn or Hunter Zolomon. If they get to the Gorillas (Grodd and Solavar) that'd be cool too!

Wally is Kid Flash! Let's not get ahead of ourselves here! I've never forgiven the fact that Wally essentially usurped Barry's identity by swiping his costume, albeit in tribute/memoriam, but this has influenced younger readers that came on board in '87 or later to think of Wally as the one true Flash -- and it's simply not true!

I want the originals to get their due, dammit!!

You were probably a zygote when Barry entered the Speedforce. Many of us were not. Thus, we identify Allen as the iconic standard-bearer for the role of the Flash. Also, DC readers (this includes non-Flash fans) have been anticipating his return. THis is because it had been hinted on many of occasions. They'll no doubt do an origin story about Allen. His was the one with an introductory origin that makes sense. Wally's is tied up with Allen's thereby making him ineligible.
He and Hal are best friends. Not Hal and Wally. Hal has a smart-ass way about him. Because of it, Reynolds made for good casting. If West was in there, it wouldn't work without the straight man, which was Allen. It would take any serious tones away from a JLA movie. Itd be like those two retard autobots in Transformers.

When Allen entered the Speedforce, Hal also went away because the dynamic in their team ups was gone.

Its gonna be Allen, I guarantee it.



Every other dissenter whose major complaint is just speed, Allen (NOT WEST) can vibrate through objects and cause non combustible objects to explode by vibration, among other talents.

We'll all go to the theater and right before the movie starts, a question mark will appear on the screen because the plug-in was not installed.
