One of Suicide Squad's most memorable moments came when a flashback revealed that it was Barry Allen who apprehended Captain Boomerang. It wasn't much of a fight, but a rematch between the two is something many DC Comics fans would love to see somewhere down the line.
Could that be in The Flash? It's unlikely considering that movie is going to take the Scarlet Speedster on a trip through the Multiverse, but there's really no reason the story couldn't kick off with the Fastest Man Alive once again apprehending the villainous member of Task Force X.
During a recent interview with Screen Rant to talk about his new movie Honest Thief, Kinnaman made it clear that he's keen to share the screen with Ezra Miller's Flash again in the near future.
"I hope so, man. I hope so," the actor said. "People higher up than me make those decisions, but I think the fans would love that. Who knows, man? Who knows the shape of how things are gonna go. I think there's a ton of properties being made, and they're tackling some great success now coming DC's way. I think they're making some really good moves. So, we'll see. That'd be awesome. If it was up to me, I'd have that thing in development already. But we'll see how we go."
This would be fun to see, but Boomerang will have to survive the events of The Suicide Squad first (you can find some exclusive comments on that movie from Michael Rooker by clicking here).
