After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion — and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Well, that's going to be an interesting meeting! Will The Flash break his father out of prison? Starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, The Flash will premiere on October 7th! The pilot was well-received after being shown at this year's San Diego Comic-Con (as well as by fans who managed to get their hands on a leaked copy a little while before that), and with Captain Cold, Firestorm and more all coming to Central City, this one will be well worth keeping an eye on!
