We recently learned that Dark Flash will be The Flash's main villain, though aside from his monstrous appearance, we really don't know what to expect from the character.

The movie appears to be pulling inspiration from both Dark Flash and Black Flash, creating an original baddie who will likely pursue Barry Allen through the Speed Force when he travels back in time. Now, a new rumour claims to shed additional light on this villain's appearance in the DCEU.

Shared on Twitter by The Flash Film News, it's said: "Small tidbit regarding Dark Flash without delving deep into spoiler territory, his suit is made out of Kryptonian material." That's accompanied by a fan mockup of Ezra Miller as Dark Flash by artist Yousef Defenshi.

What's the significance of the suit being made from Kryptonian material?

Well, this is new information not included in the plot leak from a couple of years ago. Michael Shannon will return as General Zod in The Flash for what's thought to be a new take on the events of Man of Steel. Superman will be replaced by Supergirl in that scenario, so could Dark Flash's suit have something to do with Kal-El being wiped from existence?

It would be pretty dark if he's decked out in the rocket that brought the baby Superman to Earth, but we can only speculate for now as quite a few rounds of reshoots have taken place. There are some similarities between Dark Flash and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's Doomsday, though.

As sad as it is to say, none of this is likely to matter, especially as we're on the eve of DC Studios' plans for the new DCU being revealed. Ezra Miller's Scarlet Speedster factoring into those plans seems doubtful at best. Oh, and it also sounds like we shouldn't get our hopes up about seeing small screen Flash, Grant Gustin, in this movie either!

The Flash races into theaters on June 16, later this year.

I thought this was already reported here before or maybe I already read previously on Twitter.

Glad Grant is not involved in any of this nonsense.

I saw an article on this site a month ago saying how critics from an early screening "Praised it As Spider-Man: No Way Home Good"

I'm willing to eat crow if I'm wrong, but I'm thinking this movie will in fact not be NWH good. it seems cluttered, mindless, and at this stage in the WB discovery acquisition, pointless.

Is there even anything in this movie that relates to the Flash mythos? Batman this, Kryptonian that. Coming like they wanted to make anything but a Flash movie.

Off-topic @KingPatel @JoshWilding @RorMachine

Some information about how James Gunn and Peter Safran's slate might be revealed.

If this is true then it's gonna be one hell of a very underwhelming revelation. Quite cheap, without any kind of flare, dynamic, excitement etc. Which sounds just like up in Zaslav's penny pincher corner.

Also, it seems that one of the storylines Season 3 of Superman & Lois will revolve around breast cancer according to one of the show's writers, Kristi Korzec.

Some update from The Boys with Jack Quaid.

Finally, Keanu Reeves opens up about how he was constantly asking WB to get a sequel for his Constantine film. (Where would that now even take place in the new DCU is unclear)

@tmp3 - It kinda-ish does. The structure of movies and interconnected TV shows afterwards are already an MCU imprint since 2021. Adding video games though is not just new but unnecessary because it ignores the development process of those working on them. Maybe it's all just for Zaslav to cash in more money by forcing fans to purchase even games to follow the main story.

They really should've just focus on telling good stories with Gunn's help while letting the rest keep working in their own Elseworlds corners as it's always been. It all just feels lowkey like it's being imposed and forced on us if we want to enjoy DC live-action content.

@NinnesMBC - I mean even that scooper "My Time To Shine" appears to be confirming it.
