The website, Bludhaven Banter, has yet another scoop about The Flash pilot. They have a description of a character that sounds a lot like Professor Zoom, but with a few twists.

All I wanna do is zoom-zoom-zoom-zoom and a boom-boom. Just shake your rump. Bludhaven Banter, has so far been a good source for character descriptions for the upcoming The Flash television series. According to Bludhaven Banter, CW's Arrow spin-off will feature Barry Allen's time-traveling arch-nemesis Professor Zoom, aka Reverse-Flash.
In pilot episode for The Flash, there is a character called "Detective Eddie Thawne" which sounds a lot like Eobard Thawne, the name of Professor Zoom. Now, that's not a lot to go on, so I did some additional digging and it turns out that he may very well become the villain we all know and love. The description for the character states that he is "leading man handsome" (late 20s-early/mid 30s) and has recently transferred to Central City Police Department from Keystone. Thawne is set to be loved within the precinct and takes the credit for a lot of things that Barry can't. (We assume this'll mean he takes credit for some of The Flash's work, but that's just speculation on our part). However, the most intriguing part about this character is that his past will be a complete mystery. No one knows where he comes from, and he "harbors a dark secret."

Whilst I'm still not crazy about the actor portraying Barry, I do really like the tone and production quality of the show, both of which I'm hoping will continue into the spin-off.

I feel the tone should be a bit more like the csi series serious moral moments and quirky fun ones
Just less dark than arrow for more distinction between the two

I'm going to watch the living shit out of this show! I hope it turns out awesome because I think Grant Gustin did a great job as Barry.

Hopefully they go with the "Thawn" aspect of him killing Barry's mother and recieving his powers from Barry essentially (as Barry creates the Speed Force with every step he takes),although the Wally West Zoom is cool as he doesn't have speed powers at all but rather he slips in and out of time thereby mimicking having speed!Either way GREAT villian with a cool look/motives!

And even though i still don't like how young the actor is,i have to say he did do a good job as Barry!I still watch the original show all the time after getting the whole series for $12 on Amazon!!!!

Anyone know if they are going to explore any time travel aspects in this series?After all it plays a pretty big part in the mythology,and considering the mention of how Barry's mom was killed i'd imagine they will

Excited for the show!
Trusting the Arrow ppl to bring the same tone of Arrow and maybe a touch of CSI to the show. Thawne was expected after what Barry said about his mothers murder. Still not sold on a African American Iris but I guessing it's because we won't ever see Wally on the show so there won't be any conflict what color she is.

Arrow rocks, let's hope this does too!

The visual effects for Barry's accident in Arrow was pretty good, especially for a tv budget

Good word of mouth is spreading pretty fast about Arrow show and there is a lot of ppl Catching up with Netflix and buying the 1st season Blu ray

I think ratings are going to be even higher next yr

We already knew Reverse Flash/Zoom/Thawn was going to be in the show.

On Arrow he tells Ollie and Felicity that his mom was killed by what looked like a blur with a man in it.

He goes on to say he came at it to try to save her but next thing he know he was 12 blocks away. And by the time he got home she was dead.

It seemed pretty clear to me that they wouldnt have Zoom in Barry's backstory and never use him in the show.

Part of my enjoyment of Arrow, and I hope The Flash, is that I don't know much about either of their current, modern, storylines. I stopped reading DC many, many years ago. They can do what they want on the show, I have no preconceived notions of what it should be and don't know what to expect. Like most that watch the shows, I suspect, it's all new to me, and I like it.
