RUMOR MILL: Legendary WONDER WOMAN Actress Lynda Carter May Reprise That Role In THE FLASH

This is definitely a story that you should treat with a healthy dose of scepticism, but we can't help but wonder what it will look like if Lynda Carter does indeed return as Wonder Woman in The Flash!

In "Rumor Mill," we share the hard to buy rumours that don't come from reliable sources like the trades, but are still more believable (just) than what you might find on Reddit.

Recently, Batman & Robin star George Clooney debunked rumors that he'll be donning his cape and cowl alongside Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck in 2022's The Flash. That didn't exactly shock us, but The Vulcan Reporter has now shared a pretty bold claim about another possible cameo.

The site, who have shared a small handful of accurate reports in the past, claims that Lynder Carter (Supergirl) is in talks to reprise her iconic role as Wonder Woman in the Scarlet Speedster's film.

The actress played Diana Prince in the 1970s live-action television series which was set during World War II initially before moving to the present day. Catching up with an experienced Wonder Woman in the future could be fun, especially if Michael Keaton's Batman is part of a Kingdom Come-type Universe. Her inclusion in a story about the Multiverse would also makes sense.

Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson is writing The Flash, while IT's Andy Muschietti is the latest filmmaker to agree to sit in the director's chair. Starring Ezra Miller, the film is currently scheduled to race to the big screen on November 4, 2022.

Of course she will because yanno why not? I honestly don't expect many of them to be more than a glorified cameo

And the cameo of a divine blue being in the center of the multiverse?

@Repian - Wouldn’t that go against what Watchmen was about?

Between The Flash and Spider-Man 3, I lost count how many characters are gonna appear in each movie. At this point I wouldn't even be surprised anymore if they show up in each other's movies too.

@bkmeijer - I guess the difference would be the flash's characters are confirmed for the most part and the spider-man 3 characters are rumors other than Foxx

@MyCoolYoung - yeah I guess. Hope they know what they're doing with these characters, rumoured or not

@bkmeijer - same here. Marvel I trust. They’ve shown that they can handle big ensembles with all the avengers movies plus civil war. It’s Sony who I don’t trust.

I still think Peter will end up out of the mcu by the end of Spider-Man 3 or whatever the next movie he pops up in. I think the mulitiverse stuff will be used to move him into the venomverse

@MyCoolYoung - I think we'll see Spidey in Avengers 5, but after that I can definitely see him only appear in the SUMC or venomverse or whatever we call it.

As for Flash, I also kinda trust the studio with it. It's just Miller as the Flash I don't like.

@bkmeijer - when it comes to WB and their comic movies they seem to panic. They have more hits than misses for sure but when they have a miss they seem to be too scared to stay the course

@MyCoolYoung - OMG, yes! "Panic" is the word here. As you know, they did this with the Christopher Reeve films, the Tim Burton films, and many others. I would NEVER sell them my IP's (if I had any). I would take less money from other studios that I felt would not PANIC, change the original plans, and, as usual, make it WORSE! Decades into this, and they STILL haven't learned their lesson! WtF?

MyCoolYoung - 11/29/2020, 9:31 PM
@LSHF - this is facts. The people that panic seem to be more into money than the actual IP’s, which I know it’s a business but you can’t just be changing things that drastically because you’re panicking.

Imagine if marvel would have panicked because Cap 1 and Thor 1 didn’t make as much as Ironman 1 and 2

@MyCoolYoung - I don't know if panic is the right wprd, but they definitely cling to the wrong ideas sometimes
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 11/30/2020, 7:18 AM
@bkmeijer - the reason I say panic is, look at how they did justice league and even before that look at how they did suicide squad. They changed that movie while it was filming to remove its connections with justice league.

They didn’t want to stay the course because of Batman vs Superman reception. Plans change for sure, but you can’t go editing and chopping someone else’s movie mid shooting or even post shooting because you’ve lost faith in the plan. Should’ve had a better plan to start with

bkmeijer2 - 11/30/2020, 8:33 AM
@MyCoolYoung - yeah I'll admit that was quite panicky. It just doesn't scream confidence at all, but it looks like they are commiting to a plan
LSHF
LSHF - 12/1/2020, 12:25 AM
@MyCoolYoung - Exactly. And that would have had seriously jacked-up consequences.

This is, I think, one of the major reasons why Marvel Studios is so successful. They know their IP's well enough to know when not to expect too much from some of them, so there is less chance of them "panicking".

Their IP's is their priority, not money. The money comes because of how well they take care of their IP's.

Things like these should happen at some point.

These people aren't getting any younger you know, better to use the time we have so we don't end up in a Star Wars scenario of wasted possibilities...

Yeah i dig it.

Umm... LYNDER Carter? (Second paragraph). Not to be the spelling/grammar police, but... just thought I’d point that out.

This story kinda makes me wish Adam West was still around (although I know Burt Ward is)...

OT: Doctor Who trailer is up!
It’s not what I was expecting, at all. But I’m certainly intrigued, no idea how the Doctor or the proper daleks will factor into it. It’s exciting!
