Some weeks ago, Latino Review had posted a leaked photo from the Thor movie set in which had our first look at the Destroyer 'armor.'

Now, thanks to Facebook's fan page Marvel Movies! and to Mr. Zante Kry, we have a different look at the Destroyer. The photos are from Marvel Studios' offices in from back in March and...Yes, there is a movie model of Thor's Destroyer!

Enjoy it!

Maybe it's just me but if something has the power to smash mountains, isn't it just frikkin overkill to also give it spikes?

My only complaint is the lack of rivets that would have made it look more like armor. It's too skin tight, but maybe they changed it for the movie.

Looks awesome.

@fanboii- It was never as bulky as that in the comics though, in fact the suit itself is very very accurate to the comics.

Another great find Cyke89! It looks awesome - Branagh might just be making Thor the most faithful comic book adaptation ever judging by what we've seen so far! Here's hoping Johnston's First Avenger will be able to match up because I still have doubts about that guy..! :P

That looks amazing. Hopefully this means that we'll see Stark making his Thor-buster armor in the future. It probably won't happen, but a guy can dream right?

@Ryden Wrong. It looks more powerful to me. I just don't associate a suit of armor being skin tight.

lol It doesn't matter how bulky it is.
The person doesn't put it on piece by piece like regular armor. They enter into it either physically or spiritually in the same manner as the user of Alpha Flight's Box robotic weapon. Once inside it the size of your body doesn't matter. if you were 50 ft tall you would still go right in and fit just fine because inside it is like a... a pocket dimension so to speak. It's it's own space that's not limited by the physical size of the Destroyer.

In a recent Thor mini,Marvel retconned the Destroyer armor to be a suit of armor that Odin wore while laying the smackdown on a tantrum-throwing Thor...I'd like to think Matt Fraction was taking liberties with the Destroyer armor in order to advance the story he was trying to tell. Will Odin be shown riding Sleipnir, his eight-legged horse? A regular horse as hard enough to pull off in CG(see Pegasus),so I kinda doubt it. I would like an Odin-Thor throwdown,though....

@superman7 durr, you completely misread. i said the movie armor looks skin tight.
