Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, "Thor," which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

Many thanks to TheBlackWidow, aka "Zarina_Romanoff", for the following footage which she was kind enough to record for us tonight. As you can see when you view the video, it's literally less than a couple of seconds, but pause it in the right places and you'll see Thor taking on the Destroyer in a few epic scenes!

Thor is set to be released in 3D on May 6, later this year!

Lmao @ your reactions

It's like that episode of South Park when the boys were anxiously awaiting the new Terrence & Phillip trailer. 1 second of footage and they lost their minds at how awesome they thought it was. This wasn't even a f*cking second.

smh..the half a second preview was more "epic" than the First Class trailer? Yeah...you idiots will see. Sorry, the Thor trailer was not, in my opinion, as good as First Class trailer. Those "bone crunching" sounds when he was punching and kicking..yeah, not really needed and adds to cheese factor.

I didn't see any blood either.

Looks incredible, even from a tiny clip like that. As I've been saying, I think this will be the best movie of the year.

Did they fix his helmet yet or improve the cgi of Asgard? These are the two key things preventing me from seeing this. Plus there is a rumor he doesn't fly.

I had a chance to see the new trailer that this preview is likely from. Expected to be in theatres either this weekend ( with either Unknown or I am Number Four) or with something next week. I can tell you that the first part of the trailer focuses on Thor landing on earth and interacting with Natalie Portman's and Kat Dennging's characters. More comedy than the first trailer. There is more footage of the Destroyer. There is footage of an ice beast at the end of the trailer. The most exciting thing was that you finally get to see the rainbow bridge, which looks surprisingly good and not so gimmicky. It looks kinda like a normal bridge with color flowing through it. I doubt anyone will take this seriously but i speak the truth. Though my release date is still a guess.
