Last week,
The CW launched its latest
DC Comics based show,
Vixen, via their online streaming platform
CW Seed. While the show has met some criticism for its abnormally short running time (every episode is between four and five minutes, for a total of six episodes), fans are still eager to see where the series takes the protagonist,
Mari McCabe, and how it handles the introduction of true mysticism into the
Arrowverse.
The official
CW Seed twitter account has now released a new promo for the show's second episode. The forty-three second clip features small snippets of footage from the upcoming episode, accompanied by commentary from the shows Executive Prodcuer,
Marc Guggenheim.
Guggenheim talks about
Mari discovering her superpowers, as well as a potential love interest for
Mari, which begs the question - could they possibly already have plans for the
Mari McCabe/
Vixen for beyond this initial series? You can check out the the clip for yourself below:
What do you guys think? Did you enjoy the show's first episode, or did the short running time ruin the experience for you? Are you excited for the next episode in the series? Do you think
The CW will continue to utilise
Vixen, whether it be via a continuation of the animated series or live action? Be sure to let me know in the comments below, and don't forget to share and hit that like button!
The second episode of
Vixen airs on Tuesday, 1st of September.
Vixen is Mari McCabe, a superhero who can use her Tantu Totem to adopt the abilities of animals. Originally from Africa, Mari's parents were killed by local greed, corruption, and wanton violence. But the orphaned Mari refuses to succumb to the terrors surrounding her. Inheriting her family's Tantu totem, Mari can access the powers of animals -- anything from the super-strength of a gorilla to the speed of a cheetah. As Vixen, she fights valiantly to protect the world from threats like those that claimed her family.
