Jaimie Alexander Talks AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., THOR: THE DARK WORLD Ending, And More
Jaimie Alexander (who will be appearing on tomorrow’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) talks what it felt like to return to the series, the ending of Thor: The Dark World, and how her fight scenes worked out! Hit the jump to check it out!
Jaimie Alexander sat down with IGN and started off by talking about how it feels for her to return to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. without parts of her memory. " It was very comical actually. Definitely comical in the beginning. You know, I was just so happy to come back. I always enjoy playing Sif but I also love working with everyone over at Agents of SHIELD, cast and crew." Besides the comical part, she explains the downside of her sudden memory loss, “There are also some sadder moments later on when she doesn't remember some things that Coulson was hoping she'd remember.”
Even though part of Sif's memory will be loss, it doesn't stop her from engaging in battle! Jaimie Alexander explains that her fights in this episode worked out really well, hence the fact that she only had a week to prepare. "The fights that I do have in the episode I learned in one day and we sort of just improv'd and did it. It worked out well," She then continues, "But the story's more about her trying to figure out who she really is and what's going on with this mysterious foe that she's had this battle with who gave her amnesia."
Besides her appearance on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Jaimie reveals that this episode does not address the Thor: The Dark World ending (Loki on the throne). Even though it doesn't, Jaimie reveals some intriguing thoughts about where things were left off in Asgard, "With regards to the end of Thor 2 and how things left off in Asgard. And what's going on there. Is Loki really Odin or is Odin now Loki, or was it all an illusion?" An illusion? Does she know something we do not? Nope. Shortly after those thoughts she reveals she knows nothing about how that ending will shape the rest of the MCU.
Anyhow, she does address Thor 3: Ragnarok and says that, "We only know a little about who she really is and what she's capable of. And so any chance to explore her further, I jump at it." She then adds that playing her role as Lady Sif is "such a good time." Lady Sif will appear on tomorrow's episode of Agent of Shield titled, "Who you really are." Are you going to tune in?
