JESSICA JONES' David Tennant On Controlling THE AVENGERS; Joining The MCU

If you've been watching Marvel's Jessica Jones you'll know what a formidable villain Kilgrave is, and how much damage he's capable of causing. Imagine how much worse the carnage would be if he controlled one of The Avengers? Find out what David Tennant had to say about that...

You might think taking control of the Hulk would be the smartest choice for Kilgrave, but the actor that plays the sinister baddie on Marvel's Jessica Jones, former Dr. Who David Tennant, has different ideas. During a video interview with MTV, Tennant reveals that he might first go for Thor, but reckons being a God he could have some sort of built-in resistance to his mind-mojo - so, he settles for Iron Man so he could sent his battalion of armored outfits into battle.

Not a bad choice, but I'd still go with the big green fella! Tennant is also quizzed about any possible plans Marvel may or may not have to include him in the MCU, but of course remains tight-lipped on the matter.

Have you been binge-watching Jessica Jones like the majority of us? Keep an eye out for our poll and open discussion thread a little later on.

Please keep spoilers out of the comments section as not everyone has watched the show yet. There'll be an open discussion thread later on.

Loved the show over all but hated almost everything with the twin sister after episode 9. It just felt off to me, like those moments of cheesiness in Gotham (but not as bad, of course).

Episode 7 was my favorite, such a great perfomance from Tennant and you can feel the tension the whole scene.

Same here. All that shit with the cop, the neighbors etc... took me out of the show. It got too silly around ep 10 for me, but then redeemed itself with a great final few eps.

Tennant is smart. He's aware that Thor is immune to mind-control in the comics.

Binging this and wondering where he ranks on the MCU villain list, in terms of power. He's gotta be up there.

@ThePowerCosmic

Wasn't Thor immune to Moondragon's telepathy who had the mind gem?

@blackandyellow

That's because the plot called for heroes like Thor (religious, mystical, etc) to be mind controlled. Moon Dragon hasn't been able to control Thor since. He's been shown to be immune to telepaths like Skull with Xavier's brain and a Phoenix-powered Emma Frost.

Still not done I'm on episode 9. I'm watching with my wife and I wanna be surprised with her, unlike DD which I watched in one sitting. Hahaha.

So far Killgrave is by far the most horrifying mcu villian to date. The thing that makes him most horrifying is his how after a bit how much sympathy you feel for him.

It's been crazy and I'm pumped for Defenders.

DD
Luke Cage
JJ
Iron Fist
Punisher
Elektra
HellCat
(Probably more)

Also hoping the defenders get some new gear from Mr Fitz! Btw how bad ass was Bobbi's new toy?

Kilgrave is officially joining the ranks of Loki and Kingpin among the best villains in the MCU. Don't really get the people that feel sympathy for him. Other than a crappy childhood he never gives anyone a reason to feel sympathy for him, I always love those kinds of villains. He isn't like Magneto or Kingpin where his motivations are somewhat understandable. Everything he does is self serving so I didn't really feel sympathy for him but definitely loved him as a villain.

Why are people STILL posting spoilers in this thread? Such a kunty move.

Anyway, Thor can't be mind controlled by Killgrave, considering how the show describes his powers. Thor isn't human, so it couldn't work on him and since the HULK is immune to any physical attack (those who've seen the later episodes should understand), it wouldn't work on him, either. The Scarlet Witch uses magic, so anything goes with her.
