Drum role please!

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions!!

Applause, applause, no really thank you. Umm, unfortunately that was all that was released by Activision.

Last year Activision CEO Mike Griffith (no relation to Peter) publicly stated that there would be a Spider-Man title released in 2010. No further details have emerged as of yet. CEO Bobby Kotick also chimed in with the anti climatic statement: 'the publisher's Spiderman games "have sucked" for the past five years.'

That seems a little harsh to me. I enjoyed Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. The game play was cool and the story moved right along. Did it have it's issues? Yes. There were a few things you had to do in the game that didn't amount to anything. You always have to have a purpose.

For Activision to come out and say 'Spiderman games "have sucked" for the past five years.' tells me that Batman: Arkham Asylum made these yahoo's realize there is a market for Super Hero video games, if done right. I know, what a concept.

Hopefully Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will be released for the PS3. Nothing has been confirmed.
