Reports are coming in that James Mangold's Logan managed to take in a whopping $9.5 million from preview screenings last night - which is even more impressive when you factor in the film's R rating. To put it into context, that just beats the $9.4M earned by Disney/Marvel’s Doctor Strange back in November, though it didn't quite manage to top Fox's other R-rated blockbuster, Deadpool, which made an unprecedeted $12.7 million after a superb marketing campaign.

Early estimates suggested that the Hugh Jackman's Wolverine swansong would hit $65 - $70 million by Monday, but this means it's more likely to come in around the $75 - $80M mark.

Have you seen Logan yet? if so, what did you think? You can check out my 5-star review HERE.

I don't know about that. As much as I'm excited for Logan, I'd say it's got some pretty serious competition this weekend.
