Bryan Singer Starts Tweeting X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Production Details

There's nothing too revealing here (although the director DOES reveal where filming of the highly anticipated sequel is set to take place), but you may want to start following Bryan Singer on Twitter as soon as possible as he is now Tweeting updates on the production of X-Men: Days of Future Past!

We now know that filming of X-Men: Days of Future Past will begin shooting next April for its July 18th, 2014 release, but director Bryan Singer (who has recently joined Twitter as @BryanSinger) is now Tweeting details about the production. It's hard to say exactly how long this will continue for, but it's well worth following the filmmaker on the off chance that he reveals some particularly juicy details. Don't forget that it was Singer who actually revealed the title, so fingers crossed! Judging from the Tweets below, the sequel is set to be filmed at least partially in Montreal, Canada. X-Men: First Class was shot primarily in Matthew Vaughn's home country of England, but Singer did both X-Men and X-2 in Toronto and Vancouver so it makes sense that he will return there.

Is it bad I kinda want this to fail? That way Marvel Studios might get the rights back...

LOL, if it's good I guess that's ok, but seriously it's not nearly as good as Marvel would make it. They've only had technically B characters (besides the Hulk) to work with yet made them A characters. If they get their actual A characters back, WOW, JUST WOW.

I find really funny how some fans seem to expect Marvel to get the rights back and do a x-men reboot sometime in the next 10 years, lol

they should have hired Solid Snake to write it, he did a decent enough job before.

like x1, x2 & Watchmen.

but i guess he's to busy with his Wolves at the moment.

WHat the hell is wrong with some of you people? For Christ's sake, Singer is making a movie, not forcing shots of ebola virus into the arms of third world orphans. The way you act and talk you would think Singer is the direct descendent of Hitler, Pol Pot and Dick Cheney is one evil package.

Also, why hope for failure here? How does that help anyone, let alone Comic Book Movies in general?

You think it is easy to make a movie? Go to Hollywood and sign up. Seriously, make a better mouse trap. And you already have the nasty scalpels out before any script has been made public; before any scenes or shots have been made; before any photos have been released.

Grow up some of you.

For the love of God, Singer, write an actual STORY this time, not just a collection of four or five powerful moments strung together by the most feeble, uninteresting plot like in Superman Returns.

Its soo curious how some users hate on Singer for his Superman reboot, when the fying scenes on that movie were ten times better than the Thor ones.

But since Thor was made by "Marvel Studios", Thor is a better movie.

yeah yeah...

:D

AC1 - 11/10/2012, 8:24 AM
Wait @gambgel are you saying Superman Returns is a better movie than Thor because the flying scenes are better in Returns? Is that really how you judge whether a movie is good or not?

Bryan Singer did a solid job directing X-Men & X-2. So he will do a good job directing X-Men:DOFP.

Without Singer and his two X-MEN films you can bet there wouldn't even be an Avengers movie, or a MARVEL Studios. Show some gratitude once in awhile. Damn fanboys and their "what have you done for me lately attitude!" The man knows this franchise better than anybody, because he built it, and in the process made comic book movies more respected and acceptable to the mainstream audience who only though of the genre as childish.

Singer change to much sh*t like Nolan but alot of people liked the first 2 X-men which makes me wonder if he would've done X-men 3 would he been getting the love Nolan gets for completing the first successful comicbook trilogy

Singer...please stop beating the Xmen to death with your crappy adaptations. Please. You are a terrible person and you should feel bad and sell Xmen back to Marvel Disney.

@Danbojohnj; "More 'struggling with my homosexual sexuality 'subtext. Disney, get your checkbook out."

This coming from someone with a V for Vendetta avatar. X-MEN has always been an allegory about intolerance. In the 60's it was about civil rights, but today gay rights are the hot button issue.

First off - what's with the rampant homophobia? The man's gay - so what? So's Ian McKellan - are you going to tell me he didn't do a great job as Magneto? Second off: the first two "X-Men" movies were good movies. If they hadn't been, it's highly unlikely we would have had the subsequent Marvel movies. Oh, and the guy who said that the Marvel characters used were all "B" characters except the Hulk? Captain America was not and never has been a "B" character, sport. Third off - as much as I enjoyed "The Avengers," once the fanboys stop drooling, I hope they start to realize that the "story" that Whedon threw up on the screen was one of the dumbest plots ever. Loki is supposed to be a master of evil and mischief and apparently he couldn't even get Phil Coulson to stay dead!
