SO HYPED!
blackandyellow - 5/7/2014, 6:45 PM
Fox has upped their game with First Class and The Wolverine, IMO. I hope this is awesome. The complexity of the story is certainly the most ambitious we've seen in a CBM yet.
MrCBM56 - 5/7/2014, 6:46 PM
I'll tell you what though, people only agree with twitter reactions when they want the movie to be good. So I wouldn't be surprised if "certain" users try to ignore the praise it's about to get lol.
blackandyellow - 5/7/2014, 6:48 PM
Pens are looking strong tonight!

MRW Pittsburgh Penguins won last night!!!!
Mike89 - 5/7/2014, 6:49 PM

"the greatest, most complete and staggeringly entertaining #xmen movie to date. Incredible. Movie of the summer!"
That's exactly what I wanted to hear. I can't [frick]ing wait any more!
AnthonyLantern - 5/7/2014, 6:51 PM
PLEASE….GIVE US CYCLOPS!
JoJo1982 - 5/7/2014, 6:52 PM
@mike89

AlSimmons - 5/7/2014, 6:52 PM
This guy is calling movie of the summer when he hasn't seen the rest of the summer movies. I'm calling B.S.
BabyBaboons - 5/7/2014, 6:52 PM
Remember that's what everyone said about Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Just throwing that out there
Mike89 - 5/7/2014, 6:53 PM

staypuffed - 5/7/2014, 6:53 PM
I have an incredibly strong feeling that the time travel business will create a new timeline, and Jean and Scott will show up at the end.
SpiderFraud - 5/7/2014, 6:54 PM
Early reactions of Spider-Man 2 was pretty spot on...the movie was a mess.
MrCBM56 - 5/7/2014, 6:54 PM
Quicksilver looked badass in motion. Someone please post a gif of it
Chcl - 5/7/2014, 6:55 PM
then, as expected, quicksilver only have an action scene
LEEE777 - 5/7/2014, 6:55 PM
I hope the next X-MEN movie is half good, hey might happen :p
MrCBM56 - 5/7/2014, 6:55 PM
TASM 2 had very mixed reaction from the twitter-verse favoring to the negative side. That argument is invalid.
BabyBaboons - 5/7/2014, 6:56 PM
The movie will undoubtedly be good
Just one thing tho, the robots look like bad CGI. Anyone else see this?
TucksFrom2015 - 5/7/2014, 6:57 PM
yeah the 80's setting will introduce Jean, Scott, and Storm as teenagers. by using the decades' weird fashion choices they can design costumes with their classic color palettes and have it look practical and realistic. Storm will be introduced as African so she might end up being a pawn of their Egyptian villain. Kurt Vagner will be introduced as a small child but an expert dual swordsman like his father Azazel, Nightcrawler will by-and-far steal the show. Hank McCoy will undergo yet another transformation closer to the comics -- bigger, bulkier, and less human, but visually brilliant.
SimonM7 - 5/7/2014, 6:57 PM
I honestly think it's just XO: Wolverine that's proper worthless. The Last Stand is by far the weakest of the rest, of course, but what did they even expect would happen when they try to overlap the Phoenix stuff with Whedon's "Gifted"? That movie is essentially exactly what was bound to happen. An awkward, disjointed exercise in having two story lines clumsily take turns developing.

Which I guess isn't high praise, but at least it means it's *up to something*, and has its brief moments that play well. It's further redeemed by having The Wolverine play on its story beats in a way that kinda legitimises them in retrospect.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is just Hugh Jackman stuck in a low tier Jason Statham movie with an opening/credits sequence that is more compelling than the movie itself. It's the only one I skip when I re-watch them all, even though I have it.
LEEE777 - 5/7/2014, 6:57 PM

MrCBM @ this one?
staypuffed - 5/7/2014, 6:58 PM
I'm still a bit skeptical about Quicksilver, but I'm glad people like him.
MrCBM56 - 5/7/2014, 6:59 PM
@LEE777 The one with him running on the side of the wall. I would try to find it but I'm on my phone.
TheRationalNerd - 5/7/2014, 6:59 PM
So that's...

Cyclops
Jean
Storm
Gambit
Nightcrawler
Beast

Confirmed/in talks of the X-Men line-up Can't wait!! :D
MrBlackJack - 5/7/2014, 7:00 PM
Lol, ProfX should be showing up any second, bitching (as per usual) about how TWS is better and DCMF is biased.
