The Deadpool Ending...

The Deadpool Ending...

This wont be up long....

By JD22 - May 01, 2009 05:05 PM EST

Probably already got a million of these by now, but I saw the midnight showing of Wolverine last night, and was treated to the Deadpool ending after the credits. Went like this:

Camera pans down to the wreckage of the nuclear reactor, and stops on Deadpool's arm, sword unsheathed, laying in the rubble. The sword slowly starts to retract, and the hand starts pulling itself toward an object as the camera begings to zoom in. As it zooms, you see Deadpool's head laying there, with the mouth clearly open now, and as the hand grasps the back of the head, his eyes open and he whispers "Shhh."

Pretty small little thing that I thought was a little disappointing, as I was hoping to see him in a lab or something, maybe getting the costume or mask. But then I realized, this ending was brilliant! He's "Shh"-ing the crowd, breaking the 4th wall! It's a little thing, but awesome none-the-less. I really hope they follow up with a Deadpool movie, and do it the way Reynolds wants to. I respect him a bit more now after reading some of the interviews with him and what he wants to do if he got the chance for a solo Deadpool adventure.

I thought it was so awesome seeing this part... At first, I thought the after credit thing was just striker.... And I wasn't as dissapointed with deadpool as i thought i would be, the end fight was f'ing awesome as hell! Now all they must do now is to bring on the spin-off, with deadpool, but only if it is like him from the comics

i just don't get what is so awesome about him saying shhh. kinda creepy. maybe if he smiled it would be like "don't tell anyone i'm still alive!" and is that even Ryan? idk. maybe if i actually see the movie i may understand why this looks so cheezy. sorry to any DP lovers... Uh... Deadpool just so we're clear that i'm not talking about double pen... never mind

Agreed Evil, I thought I'd be disapointed as many people will bitch and moan about Deadpool will say; but they actually did him justice. After all it is WOLVERINES movie not Deadpool's so those who complain that he wasn't in the movie enough must being seeing the movie with the state of mind it is a Deadpool movie. Sorry but it's not. The creative new ideas with Deadpool were in fact pretty damn cool and yes that ending fight scene was so over the top and awesome it left me wanting more. Now with the Deadpool spin off coming I'm sure they will make him the "merc with the mouth" we all know.

As for the movie it was great!!! Tons of action, every actor portrayed their part very well. I was especially surprised at Will.I.Am, had no idea the guy was a skilled actor. The chemistry between Wolvy and Sabertooth was intense and spot on, it was very cool they made them actually brothers. Sibling rivarly is always a good catalyst for tention. The opning sequence was phenominal and brilliantly done in a fashion that was absolutely pefect.

Only one downside I thought but its not terrible. Wolverine was a lumberjack for a little too long in my opinion. It didnt really hurt the movie but it just felt uneccesary for such a long time at least.

This Deadpool ending is really cool, "shhhh" is just implying all of what you said dude. It'd be dumb if he started talking saying "OH IM ALIVE!" It's a secret therefor the creepy smartalic style of Deadpool's "shhh" delivers the message we all need to know. He's saying I'm still here!
Overall loved the movie can't wait to see another.

My theater had the Wolverine extended ending....how many are there exactly?

that is awesome, the movie was cool and like most comic book guys i was disappointed with Deadpool, my sister was disappointed and she has never read a comic in her life but this makes me feel so much better, I think that they should stick with this ending, the stryker ending was pretty lame and the ending that suggests a wolverine sequal is kinda not needed, because we know there will be one if Hugh has his way, cross your claws.

o ok. gotcha. like i said i haven't seen it yet so i haven't gotten to see the attitude Ryan gives the character. i just wish he smiled a little lol like a smirk. so is that or is it not Ryan?

he was saying ...shhh to the audience from what I understood its basicly the movies way of showing you that Deadpool is breaking the 4th wall. Which i thought was awesome :D

AHH I didnt even think about the 4th wall thing good observation dude!

Well I'm also reading alot of other people saying theres ANOTHER DEADPOOL ENDING!!!

In this secondary DEADPOOL ending the head is laying there and you see a guy in a black overcoat come walking from the bankgroud. He kneels down picks up and head and says something like "..and who the hell are you supposed to be?" The camera panes over and you see Wade Wilson aka Deadpool standing there holding the head. Meaning Deadpool is alive and well and Weapon X1 was actually a clone of Wades.

Killian its a god damn comic book movie with people that claws come from the arms. They can shoot lasers out of their eyes, get shot in the head and live. Can turn into diamonds, jump rediculous lenghts, stop tanks from shooting, and block 1,000,000 bullets with swords!!!

Yet your complaining because he head wasnt attached and he said "SHHHHHH!!?!?! Are you aware what you were watching?

ManOfIron, you have to understand that a lot of these geek's have very, very low standards.. they're easily entertained by anything. i saw this earlier tonight and there was a large group of grown men all with aluminum foil claws, cum'n on themselves every 5mins of the entire movie.

i'd love to see a deadpool movie... but, if it has the special effect of wolverine, it'll suck. hell boy, fantastic "suck ass" four, and even spawn had better special effect than wolverine.

oh yeah. both ending were blah. bring on star trek

Just saw the movie. Deadpool was awesome! Ryan is Deadpool. That lame ass wolverine ending was disappointing though, which I'd seen the Deadpool one in the theater.

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but as promised there were other endings in addition to this one. i went and saw the midnight premiere, and this ending was in fact the one that was shown. However, in another ending, similar to this one, a black trenchcoated figure appears and picks up the head, asking "Who the h*ll are you supposed to be?", to which the camera pans, revealing an unharmed, unscarred Wade Wilson, leading us to believe that weapon XI was not in fact Wade Wilson/Deadpool at all. In another ending, Logan is seen drinking in a bar in Japan, to which the bartender asks, in Japanese, "Are you drinking to forget?". Logan replies, in Japanese, "No, I'm drinking to remember."

what i don't understand is.. in all 3 previous x-men movies they made his claw look so realistic but in this film they made them look so fake.

I like what someone said about that being Wade's clone. I wish they would have went with that ending. Because now how are they going to do a Deadpool movie? With a bunch of mutant powers? lame.

Hey! How come I don't get credit for writing that article/blurb thing? I wrote that!

Anyway, it was cheesy, but that's the thing with Deadpool. That's just how he is.

I liked it, it was bout even with the first X-Men movie, IMO. Granted, I thought the original was sub par for a CBM, but still entertaining.

My biggest beef is how they put so little effort into making Sabretooth's movements look realistic, Liev looked like a guy air swimming on a harness, not a monster running like a wild animal. Wolverine's claws were pretty cheesy at times too, but acceptable.

Is is just me, or does the bullet in the head thing totally botch even the movies own continuity? In the original X-Men (1 or 2, I can't remember) Wolverine gets shot in the head by a cop, the bullet enters his skull, he dies, his powers push it out, and he's fine. In this movie, Wolverine is executed by a firing squad of 5+ soldiers with automatics (before he even had his adamantium skull) and it would seem that he heals with no side effects. SO, why then did Stryker's bullet happen to finally have the ability to damage his brain enough to induce memory loss? Yes, it was adamantium, but that was just supposed to be so that it could penetrate his skull. Showing the Weopon X helmet, which acknowledges the retcon, AND doing this kind of irks me.

shibazz - 5/1/2009, 10:22 PM
so how did his mouth get opened again? magic bullets suck... Harrison is right about that that. still gonnna watch in the theatres
HarrisonBergeron
HarrisonBergeron - 5/1/2009, 10:25 PM
Oh yeah, did I misinterpret, or was this supposed to show that 3-Mile Island didn't actually melt down in 1979? That it was actually an epic battle of mutants?
----
My take on the mouth thing is that since Stryker put Weapon XI into action before it's surgery was complete his mouth being sewn shut did not take, and his advanced healing returned his mouth to normal.

I wouldn't call this 'breaking the 4th wall' but instead liken it to the end of a Freddy movie or something were we get a similar moment telling us 'I'm not dead'. Suddenly Wade does it in a bonus scene in the movie and everyone is all swooning over it. The scene rocks, I'm glad to see some evidence that Deadpool isn't dead. The movie is fantastic. ok now i think i wasn't asking the right question! lol ok got it now here it is: What is so significant about the 4th wall?! everyone is all up in arms about it! my guess is he did this alot in the comic. am i right? but that's like the main thing i keep hearing.

Yeah i am pretty pist, my ending was [frick]in wolverine sitting in a bar drinking. that was waste of time. buy yeah Emma Frost, not so much. first of all the way her body looked with the diamonds was kinda lame and also talk about not hot enough at all. like sure she is just a teen and stuff but come on, get someone better looking.

The final battle was NOT in 1979 that would make cyke
about 45-48 years old in the x-men movies
he was 26-33 years old in the x-men movies
and about deadpool having extra powers apparently the radiation changes him, with him just having healing factor
but the blades in the arms,I could live with that.

you know what...i love this movie and i actualy give it a 9 out of 10 and i don care what no1 says

look...answer me this is it not true that even the comics have different universes..such as the ultimates and earth x and so on...come on in the Ultimate universe deadpool was a frikin cyborg!!! would we have been happier with the director going with that idea?..

So now that deadpool has been taken in this direction and they even corrected the fact that hi mouth is shut in one of those two endings (my favourite one bein that weapon x1 was just a clone) just proves that deadpool wasnt as 'ass raped' as SOME people were pratting about huh

x-men origins rules bring on the deadpool movie

Yeah, I definitely took it as him breaking the 4th wall as a shout-out to the hardcore fans.

The ending I saw had Wolverine sitting at a bar in Japan having a shot being served by a Japanese female bartender. The quick conversation was to the effect of:
"You're American?"
"Canadian."
"Are you drinking to forget?"
"No. I'm drinking to remember."

As cool as the Japan story is, I really don't see the need to do a second origin movie. This one was good enough and a Japan movie would be the same as "The Last Samurai." Let's work on the future again and try to fix the storyline for "X4." (We've come up with a ton of ideas in the "'I think I'm turning Japanese!' Says Wolverine Actor Hugh Jackman" comments section if you want to read some cool suggestions.)

I loved how he broke the 4th wall but he could have done it before in the movie, like when he's in the elevator and he says "just what i wanted, to be in a elevator with 5 guys in a all protein diet" at that point he should have looked at the camera like he's talking to the audience, now that would have been awesome!!

I feel a little screwed out of this ending honestly... i think the stryker/wolverine combo was kind of dull honestly...

Ok and i just have to get this off my chest... I really wish people would stop using the words epic and fail, both individually as well as together as in "epic fail". It maybe would be funny if, once it became "the thing to say", everybody and their dog didn't overuse it. And now it's just the nerds who, while on break from their manga marathons, just so happen to notice something they think they can get the one-up on... what happened to clever comebacks?

This is Pockets and I approve this comment.
