Speaking to MTV at SDCC 2014, actor Corey Stoll spoke a bit about his villanous turn in Marvel Studios' Ant-Man. Stoll briefly spoke about his Yellowjacket costume, stating that it's apparently still being finalized, "That's really...that's still an ongoing process,I think unfortunately...well, maybe fortunately, in terms of my comfort feeling. For [actual shooting], I think I'll be wearing a lot of mo-cap spandex." Watch the video below to listen to what Stoll has to say about working with Marvel Studios, being backstage at SDCC and the script and tone of the film.

I'm still not too sure how I feel about Yellow Jacket being a villain in this, although when the Yellow Jacket costume first appears in the Ultimate universe it was Ultron which sort of gives a strange nod to those that read the Ultimates

Like most comicbookmovies, I am looking forward to seeing them pull off this movie, especially with the different visuals. Hope it turns out.

Should have been

Michael Douglas - Hank Pym's father
Paul Rudd - Hank Pym aka Ant-Man
Evangeline Lilly - Janet Van Dyne aka Wasp
Corey Stoll - Whoever they want as long as it's one of Hank's villains.

Whoever posted that yesterday. Man, I salute you for bringing that up. Great idea!

This movie has the potential to be one of Marvel's best, or it's worst. I don't think it'll end up being just a mediocre affair, it'll be one extreme or the other. I'm still hoping it turns out great, because it definitely has potential, even if it is steering away from the comics more than other MCU installments have done so far.

Ppl this is what happens when a hero has sucky ass villains. You don't want to bring them to the big screens.

I hope Paul goes Giant mode at the end of the movie. Even if it's after credit scene (something that Hank had locked away and never used). Can't just keep him as only shrinking in the MCU.

This movie gets worse with each article that is posted about it. It is really pathetic, none of the actors even want to be in this piece of shit film. Marvel really just needs to push this date back and do major revisions to the script and cast. There is no way you can have a good film when none of the actors are enthusiastic about the movie, the script is still being written a week before shooting, the script they do have is being shoe-horned and forced to fit a world that it was never meant to be a part of, and the characters and story are completely unrecognizable to their comic book counterparts.

I don't think Marvel ever wanted to make an Ant-Man movie without Hank and Janet as the main characters and I don't think Reed would either. The whole thing is like a bad nightmare that no one can wake up from. How could they? Hank and Janet, the two people that found Captain America in the ice, resurrected him, founded the Avengers, came up with the name Avengers, created Ultron (and thereby the Vision), have been the longest and most constant members of the Avengers, who have been major players in every single 616 event, and who continue to have significant roles in that universe will not ever be in the MCU Avengers, will not even be in the MCU (Janet), and will never even suit up (except maybe by themselves in a flashback) in the MCU.

Even if this film, against all odds, is a success and is considered a decent movie, or even if it grossed billions of dollars, it will still be a shitty Ant-Man adaptation. The cast alone is evidence of that. A geriatric Hank Pym, no Janet, and Yellowjacket as the villain? It is [frick]ing pathetic. It makes it pretty clear that this movie is wiping its ass with the source material. Marvel/Disney are one of the only studios in the world that could afford to stop production at this late stage and start this entire film over. I really wish they would. Simply throwing money at a film does nothing, John Carter is evidence of that. Marvel being forced to create another embarrassing "one-shot" to appease fans or some convoluted time-travel sequel years later that does nothing except make up for the mistakes of this film is not the way to go. They are just going to end up alienating more fans and ruining a property, which I believe could be extremely successful.

Love how idiots like @Robertliefeld spend so much energy bashing a film that they haven't even seen a teaser for... why don't you channel all that energy into getting a girlfriend, then you might not be so angry...

Fyi, I think this'll be a good, if not great, film... Marvel has earned my trust... however, if it comes out and it sucks, I'll be the first to admit it... after all, who cares, it's just a movie...

@ RobertLiefeld

You really are a negative nancy fella. Just been reviewing the threads you have been commenting on and all pretty much the same dour moaning minnie comments. Ok, we get it you hate everything about this movie, move on. Whilst I wish a lot of what you want was actually going to be in the movie, its not, so stop ya bitchin and deal with it. It is what it is and we can only hope for the best, to do otherwise is like that crazy guy outside shouting at the stars for being to bright. Try ignoring some Ant-Man threads if it really upsets you this much and move on to stuff you like. good luck with that and here's hoping.

@muttonman

If you had read my comment it is pretty clear I don't need to see a "teaser" to know I won't like this film. I know I am not the only that feels that way. I wouldn't have to see a teaser for a Hulk film to know I wouldn't like it if the studios announced Bruce Banner would be played by paraplegic in a wheel-chair and the Hulk was going to be a giant orange bear or a Captain America that throws a boomerang instead of a shield or a Hawkeye that didn't use a bow and arrow. They would be shitty adaptations and no teaser could ever change that. Maybe the source material doesn't mean anything to you but it does to me and many others here.

If you would like to have a discussion about this movie that would be great. But childish name calling only stifles any real discussion that could happen. Which is the entire point of this website in the first place. In fact, the studios release pictures and details about these films precisely so we will discuss them on websites like these. If they all wanted us to wait until a trailer came out they wouldn't give any information, go to comic con, release posters and props, ect. If you don't like people doing so, you probably should be visiting this website. So, are people idiots because they are discussing a movie before it is released, or for having opinions about the bits and pieces the studios release before opening day, or for simply disagreeing with you?

What is sad is this site has had a huge problem lately with people like you, who can't stand listening to people that disagree with them. I never mock or belittle people on this site I disagree with. The vast majority of the other users don't either. Why do you feel the need to do it? Are you trying to bully and harass those that don't think like you into silence, like other people on this site do? I hope not, but it seems that way. Everyone knows people who bully and try to hurt others often do so because they themselves were the recipient of severe abuse in their past, whether it was sexual, mental or physical. So, maybe instead of worrying about my personal life and the personal lives of strangers on the internet, you should worry about why you feel the urge to bully or hurt others?

I think you should read my comment to @muttonman. It might apply.

I am not going to stop talking about this movie. Do you want the people that go to every Ant-Man thread and praise it to stop as well? If my comments are really that upsetting to you maybe you need to skip these threads.

Yellowjacket's original costume was very cool. Now they're going to mo-cap the suit? Holy Green Lantern movie Batman...er Ant-man!

Hopefully they can salvage this film. Marvel tends to pimp-out their characters just because a previously successful "name" director,i.e. Singer,Wright is attached to the property and they give them carte blanc to make changes. The whole point is that a director's vision should enhance the existing story while preserving the long and rich history of the character. Henry Pym/Ant-man was there right at the beginning of the Marvel superhero resurgence in the early 1960's. He is not B-list hero that needs tweaking. Oh what the hell, let's put them all in black biker outfits.

I guess you didn't read what I wrote. Saying you kind of agree with someone after name calling them does not negate the fact that you were trying to bully someone into silence. I couldn't care less if you agreed with anything I said. I don't see you telling the people praising this movie to shut up? If my comments agitate you to the point you feel the need to harass me then by all means skip my comments. I have never demeaned you for the things you have said.

How is making changes to a character in a movie any different than when the comic company who created and owns the property in the first place does the same thing in the comics? Marvel is making the movie. And they have faith in the script and the director to make a great movie. Try watching it and basing judgement on the movie and not on what you wish they would have done.

By the way, just because Ant-Man has been around since the beginning doesn't make him popular. He is absolutely a b-list...or even c-list character that nobody until recently gave a flying ratfink about seeing a movie for. He's the epitome of corn-ball. I'm only looking forward to this movie because of the cast and the idea of a superhero heist movie.

Some of y'all are too uptight.
