Josh Holloway On Those AQUAMAN Rumors

Josh Holloway Aquaman Justice League Movie

Speaking to IGN on those Aquaman rumors, actor Josh Holloway stated, "It hasn't been brought to my attention by my people. Maybe they're just floating it softly around, but that would be cool! Sure, I think I'm available at the moment as we just wrapped up. I'm an actor, I like different roles. Batman movies are awesome, Marvel movies are awesome. But we'll see, I'm on a series right now. I think they usually want to sign you up for several movies and I don't know if you can do that when you're committed to a series..." Scuttlebutt says all the members of the Justice League will make cameos in Man of Steel 2 (Batman vs Superman) that lead into more prominent roles in the supposed Justice League movie that is to follow. There are a lot of rumors circling the delayed DC Comics/Warner Bros. project at the moment but one of the more interesting ones is that Holloway is up for Aquaman (along with Jason Momoa). Which actor do you think would make a better King of the Seven Seas?

Not wanting to troll but it's kind of revealing he said "Batman movies" instead of "DC movies"...

His range is definitely limited... But I think he'd be good for an established Aquaman. If they wanna make solo Aquaman films then someone younger like Charlie Hannam would be ideal

Oh no, he said he likes Marvel movies too...

He'd make a cool Aquaman or Hal Jordan. I personally think he's a great and easy choice for Aquaman if WB were having a hard time.

Momoa would be better and when did this rumor start?

I don't know about Holloway.

He'd accept the role if it gets him into the (bigger) spotlight considering he's hunkered down for the last few years, or he'd decline it if it were to make him part of the laughing stock that Aquaman has been for the last 30 years.

Nonetheless, I think casting Holloway would get him way more credit than when Affleck was cast.

What else did you guys expect him to say? The only other DC character he could have mentioned was Superman.

If he was up for the role you think he would be a little more informed, and not mention DC's rival in interviews. I just hope they go with the older, one-handed, bearded, bad-ass Aquaman, not the laughing stock super friends version.

It would never happen...

But I think that it'd be cool if Bruce had a body guard. HERE ME OUT! Bruce is supposed to be "tired & weary", he hasn't spoken to Dick in a couple of years, Alfred is no doubt going to be pretty darn old. What if Bruce hires a Wayne Industries security guard by the name of Jean-Paul Ludovic Valley to be his personal bodyguard. Batman has to use a battle Batsuit in MOS2, causing strain on his heart, and sustains some serious injuries(who knows, maybe Alfred will have a heart attack like Dark Knight Returbs). Point is Bruce needs help. He tells Jean-Paul his secret and hires him to be Batman for the foreseeable future.

Josh Holloway should be cast as Jean-Paul Ludovic Valley. He would be Batman in the Justice League movie after MOS2.Bruce would be in the cave most of the time. It would foreshadow his role in Knightfall. Nightfall would be the 1st new standalone Bat-flick.

I would like Holloway in a role regardless if it's Aquaman or not. Also Momoa sucks, he had the same face in every scene in Game of Thrones. He also had the same face in Conan and that one Sly movie too. He's the real Zoolander.

Well as long as he is in a Batman or Marvel movie he is okay with it. Guess he doesn't want to be in a Superman movie or any other DC property though right. This is why MOS should have gotten a real sequel before WB started tossing around ideas of team ups that most likely will never occur.

He'd need to gain 100lbs for the role. Aquaman is a giant dude. Plus it would require an actor with ability to deliver a great deal of gravitas to the role.
Supershadowbat
Supershadowbat - 1/21/2014, 5:32 AM
Holloway was probably just answering off the top of his head and said what came to mind first. It's amazing how people want to make it as he doesn't like Superman, Bats has a few films under his belt recently so it's probably what came to mind. Someone always wants to start some kind of flame war, what's important in the article is whether he's up for the role of Aquaman.
