Not surprised that he is making a cameo. I bet he made that Batman and Superman comment trying to be funny in a completely harmless fashion, but the "delusional Stan Lee" comments should be coming shortly, haha

Quick question though: does Fox has the rights for The Watcher?

I hope it's better than his Avengers cameo, wasn't too fond of that one really.

I love Stan Lee and I love his lovable silly cameos and I hope he lives til Avengers 3 so we can keep getting cameos til then...but he needs to stop with this overused bullshit joke about "putting him in a DC movie to make more money". It was funny the first couple of times but now its stupid

Plus, a cameo in a Batman and Superman movie would make no sense. Its not like DC owe him anything. the Marvel movies make sense because most of these characters were co-created by him and he was a big part of the original comics that kicked these characters into major pop culture. Hes owed a thank you, and what better than giving him a quick cameo. My friend doesnt read comics and even he cheers everytime Stan makes his cameo

I laugh how Stan's cameos have reflected the quality of the movies hes been in, since Avengers. The Avengers cameo is so witty and then Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 had entertaining cameos...but in pointless annoying scenes that should have been taken out of the movie. then Cap 2 rectified this by having him do an awesomely hilarious cameo.

Im interested to see what his cameo in GOTG will be, hopefully in a Groot-related scene or Ronan-related scene as Groot & Ronan are the only connection Stan has to Guardians. I look forward to this and Avengers 2 cameo!

@CosmicLord, yes as the Watcher, superb idea...perfect cameo, they could finally prove the fan theory true and tie all his cameos together! I love that theory, it makes sense, the Watcher only appears at major events. Like in Iron Man 1, he appeared at the party where Tony finally wises up and goes to fight bad guys for the first time....the rest of the movies...not so much haha

@ BaneSmash

its called paying respect to the man who co-created most of the characters we see on film today,he helped create more characters than anyone in the history of comic books.

the watcher first appeared in fantastic four 13 so fox may own the rights, however he maybe one of those characters that can be shared by multiple studios.

Clark Kent and Lois Lane exit a movie theater after a romantic date. The camera pans back to an usher leading Stan Lee to a theater entrance. The Usher says, "Sorry about the confusion sir, this is your theater". Stan Lee replies, "thanks I had a feeling I was in the wrong movie."

Stan's best cameos were wasted on the FF movies. In the first one he played Willie Lumpkin, the FF's mailman, which was a character he created. In the second one he played himself getting turned away from Reed and Sue's wedding, which he also wrote into the original story.
