THE AVENGERS Take On 'The Vision' In A New Deleted Scene From AGE OF ULTRON

A brand new deleted scene from Marvel's Avengers sequel has been released, and features an extended version of the team's initial battle with Paul Bettany's Vision. The effects are incomplete, but you'll still wish this action-packed scene had remained in the final cut...

Another deleted (well, more accurately alternate) scene from Marvel's Phase 2 Box Set has found its way online, this time giving us an extended look at the fight between Earth's Mightiest and the Vision (Paul Bettany) from Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

As you can see there's a lot more fisticuffs and blasting of lasers and such, with Chris Hemsworth's Thor doing most of the heavy lifting. It's a pretty cool scene no doubt, but with everything going on in this movie it is understandable that Joss Whedon and co. decided to go with the shorter version we saw in theaters.

The limited edition, 13-Disc Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Two Collection invites you to hold the greatest power in the cosmos in your grasp – an orb containing one of the legendary Infinity Stones! Plus Blu-ray 3D™, Blu-ray™ and Digital Copies of all Phase 2 films, in collectible packaging designed by artist Matt Ferguson. This set overflows with stunning Marvel memorabilia, including a gold-foiled page from the book of Dark Elves, an ancient drawing from the Morag vault, Avengers and S.T.R.I.K.E. uniform patches, a replica of the Tony Stark Tattoo from Marvel’s Iron Man 3, and much more!

The set is available to pre-order HERE from December 8.

Wasn't this scene in the movie?

@blackandyellow

I thought so too, but if you watch it, this scene is a lot better, a lot more action that they left out

Would have been cool to see the green eyes again.

@DrDoom

True, I understand that, I think it still would have been cool to see though, and it would have played into Vision's thought process more, to see him fighting Thor, etc, and then hearing him say this to the Avengers,

"Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me."

It would have made more sense, imo, I would have loved that, personally

THE GREEN EYES DOHHHH!

Hope we see them return in Ragnarok and Infinity War. Always loved the green eyes as an indication of Banner's impending transformation

Lmao they ALWAYS Cut out Thor taking initiative and being a bad ass!! They should have left this. Cap Throwing his shield and Vision phasing through it is comic book GOLD. [FRICK] SAKE MARVEL AND WHEDON. Seeing him take on the Avengers like this would have made him "Switching sides" all the more exciting.

DAMN, I think this scene would've been cool. Displayed Visions phasing power.

Cool scene, but I prefer the one we got. The fight would be very unnecessary.

And why does this get left in deleted pile? Vision phasing. Getting to see his strength and combat ability.

Maybe if they cut out the terrible farm scenes and hulk black widow romance they could've added scenes that people wanted to see

Wish they would have explained how he becomes intangible. As a robotic superpower, it kinda comes out of left field.

I really wish studios and producers would stop caring so much about how long the run time is... If its cool and it works with the movie leave the extra footage in... You think people would be upset if they left in the Loki scene, this Vision Scene or anything else that adds to the film? I just wish they wouldn't cut out scenes for the sake of run time. If the scene doesn't go with the movie then yeah cut that sheeit.

Vision looked good in the movie, but I didn't like how he was created. I wanted him to be directly created by Ultron. It would've held more weight.

Love how the other Avengers are not helping Thor fight Vision

They just standing there like 'eh, let Thor handle this'

If this scene was in the movie, this would be my favourite scene in the film.

Seriously, that was [frick]ing awesome.

There's no reason for all of them to fight.
BaronZemo
BaronZemo - 12/8/2015, 12:34 PM
Thank god this wasn't in the film. It would have been so confusing. Why is he fighting them? Doesn't he represent hope for the avengers after the've all screwed up everything?
mrHJK

No reason especially after having Thor bring him to life because of his vision quest nonsense.

naw, this was deleted for good reason. I think this would have contradicted the direction with Vision was going for. Plus it took way too long for Iron Man to assist.

Shut up Omega. No one gives a damn what you think. Omega on the other hand...he's one of my favorite commenters on this site. I always look forward to what he has to say.
