"I’m grateful that I get to do something like The Avengers," the actor said in a recent interview while talking about the differences between appearing in a big summer blockbuster like that and a lower budget piece such as his latest movie,
Sympathy for Delicious.
"I’m a lot happier when I’m more grateful than when I’m like ‘what the f**k man? I can make ten movies with their lunch budget, okay!’ There is not a lot of grace in that, and it just makes me miserable."
Ruffulo went on to say that he's approaching the role of Bruce Banner as organically as possible:
"I don’t know how else to do it. I have to find those places where it intersects with real life, I think," he added.
"So working on Bruce Banner walking around and thinking ‘I could tear the roof off of this like that.’ That does something to you. I’m trying to bring those elements to whatever I do."
