Ruffalo says that any future Hulk, or indeed Avengers movies will depend entirely on the success of the first one..

“They sort of set up several pictures at once, but a lot is riding on this first one,”

“There will probably be a couple more Avengers movies, which would be fun to do. I don’t know if they will ever do another Hulk. How old is The Hulk meant to be? Six years from now I will be in my 50s!”

The actor also spoke about his feelings towards CBMs in general, and whether he may step behind the camera for one someday since his directorial debut Sympathy For Delicious made a big splash at The Sundance Film Festival..

“I like where the genre has gone, especially with Robert Downey. There’s definitely a shift and when you look at people like Robert in Iron Man, he adds such humanity to it and I am interested in that.

“I’d like a thriller like a Shining, or Rosemary’s Baby, which has all of the hallmarks of great acting and great character cinema, but also it delivers on the thrill and the excitement.

“I see the comic book genre moving that way. I think it will be cool to try my hand at something like that eventually. They are giving movies to first-time directors who are making that kind of movie and I know I have something to offer.”

You can check out Ruffalo's Oscar nominated performance in The Kids Are All Right on DVD and Blu-ray now. It's well worth a watch.

The Hulk has his many characters to use in more movies. The Leader, AIM, Doc Samson, Rick Jones (A-Bomb), Absorbing Man. The list goes on. I feel he deserves at least one more shot at a movie. Plus, MORE HULK, less Banner!!!!!

Ugh. Still bitter about Ruffalo's casting for this instead of Norton.

Not mad at Ruffalo, but Norton has been my favorite Banner so far.

Watched The Kids Are All Right tonight. Ruffalo is a dull actor. I don't know how he was nominated for best actor for that. I've said it before but he really needs to step it up.

IF EVERYTHING GOES AS WELL AS EXPECTED FROM THE SCRIPT WRITERS AND PRODUCERS TO SATISFY THE AUDIENCE THE 'AVENGERS' COULD BE MOST SUCCESSFUL COMIC BOOK MOVIE OF ALL TIME SURPASSING 'THE DARK KNIGHT', AND THE IDEA FOR THE MOVIE'S SUCCESS IS TO PAVE THE WAY FOR THE OTHER MOVIES LIKE THOR, CAP, THE ALREADY PLANNED IRONMAN SEQUEL AND VERY WELL A POSSIBLE A HULK SEQUEL WITH A TV SERIES IN THE WORKS AND WE HAVE GUILLERMO DEL TORO, A GENIUS IN PROSTHETICS AND PUPPETRY IN MOVIES LIKE 'HELLBOY' AND 'PANS LABYRINTH'.

A LOT IS RIDING ON 'AVENGERS' TO BE SUCCESSFUL & PLEASE THE FANS IN THE SAME WAY THAT MOVIES LIKE 'TRANSFORMERS' AND 'LORD OF THE RING' HAVE DONE AND WHETHER PEOPLE LIKED THOSE MOVIES OR NOT THEY BECAME AMONGST THE MOST SUCCESSFUL MOVIES AND WERE HIGHLY BUDGETED
(BETWEEN $150-200MIL).

Ok, truthfully, I hope there is no more Hulk in the Avengers sequels! Too much money has to be spent on animating the Hulk which could be used for other characters & truthfully the Hulk isnt that interesting of a character when there is so many other more interesting Avengers that could replace him in a couple of sequels

Just give the Hulk a major role in the first Avengers movie & give him a couple of sequels with the Leader sending a villain after the Hulk in the second one and the Leader himself could be the villain in the third one

@Darkmatter
Meh, the tv series will probably end up being shit. The budget for a tv series would have to be huge or we will probably end up with more Banner than Hulk & probably his villains will be done shit

Actually that's not a bad idea although the main reason I am excited about the Avengers is primarily becuz of Hulk.

I will disagree with you that Hulk is not interesting becuz He's always been an all time favorite of mine since the comic books and the tv series of the late 70's & early 80's, but I do agree with your concept of having Hulk sequels and his own tv show coming up, and perhaps for a few minutes have Hulk appearing in an Avengers sequel and bring on Ant Man & Wasps and other heroes but I would be ok with Hulk's own movies.

I will say that with Del Toro leading the way for the Hulk the tv series may do better than expected.

Seriously If Del Torro can make it anywhere close to the likes of Bixbys hulk that had us glued to the screens in the 80's (well i was anyway) then the Hulk tv project may actually live in this day and age for a couple of seasons, i agree with Darkmatter tho, so far all the DEl Torro stuff i own is pretty damn awesome so im glad he is in charge of this Tv project, i dount think i would as a tv exec trust anyone else with it tbh

All I ask for is more HULK SMASH! in the movie. Show the people why he is the strongest there is.
