Mark Ruffalo will be the fourth actor to take on the iconic role of Dr. Bruce Banner, who when angry, becomes the even more iconic Hulk. Bill Bixby, Eric Bana and Edward Norton had played the role previously.
Ruffalo has revealed that when he nabbed the role for the upcoming 2012 film 'The Avengers', his nine year old son Keen let out an incredulous “you?”.
Ruffalo told CBS’ the Early Show: “I had the same reaction my son had – ‘You, papa? The Hulk?’”.
Mark Ruffalo also revealed that he is happy that he does not have to hit the gym like most other actors tied down to superhero roles.
Ruffalo is beleived to have signed a multi-picture deal with Marvel Studios that would lock him into the role for about five to seven films based on the Marvel Universe.
