Ryan McPartlin sometime ago expressed interest in the role of Captain America, and now hear what he has to say.

"The one thing I can't stand are these actors that are twittering about auditioning for Captain America. It's really tacky. With that said, it is in the casting process and like many other actors, I read for it, so we'll wait and see what happens. Regardless, I'm pretty psyched to be Captain Awesome for the time being.”

MarvelFreshman: In case you haven't checked out my homepage, I am all for this guy to be Captain America. Hes actaully my top choice, for the unknown route, which is obviously the direction they are going. I know from a while ago that he is very passionate for the character. What do you think?

I think he's pretty good, haven't seen him in anything other than Chuck though. At least he doesn't look like he's 19 years old. And this dude has clothes on! Score!

The face looks about right. The only thing I'm concerned about with him is his body type. By no means is he scrawny and I know he could bulk up, but he just seems to have a thinner frame than I would imagine for Cap. He seems like a pretty solid choice though.

Very true, a lot more solid than Chad Michael Michaels =)

I don't want a big name attached to someone like Captain America, I want to watch the movie and say that's Cap, not that's Matt Damon or whoever. I like all the actors that they have picked for Iron man, Hulk, and Thor. I trust that Marvel will make the right decision regarding Captain America.

Hell yeah! He's my 2nd choice after Sam Worthington but I'd still love to see him do Cap!

No. He's very funny on Chuck, but he does not have the commanding presence or acting chops for the role IMO.

His look is pretty much perfect for the role in every way; height, build, age, chin, and all without giving that pretty-boy douche bag vibe... never seen him act though

He says its tacky all these guys twittering but he lets us know he read for the role too.

Whats that make him?

I think his look is great actually (he doesn't look as young in motion as in pics), it's just his acting I'm not impressed by, at least in regards to Cap.

McPartlin's acting hasn't convinced me that he can lead the Avengers, it's just not at that level. He's certainly not bad, as I said I like him on Chuck, but he isn't good enough to portray one of the biggest CBM roles in history. McPartlin doesn't convince me that he can exude the commanding presence, intelligence, and leadership that Cap needs.

If he does get cast, I'll be disappointed, but perhaps I'll give him a shot and turn around eventually. But, right now, he shouldn't be Cap.

@DogsOfWar He means using Twitter is tacky. He is revealing his audition in an actual interview, like any other actor would.

I've said it 1000 times, I want Brad Pitt for Cap. I look at it like this - for a guy who's favorite film is Fight Club, you can't ask for much more than seeing Brad and Ed reunited on the big screen. I don't know how it could get better than that. Just seeing that is enough to make my head go Scanners out of sheer awesomeness. But the best part is, that somehow, through some strange means I can't wrap my mind around - it actually would get better... It would be kind of like watching Fight Club - but the narrater can transform into a giant green beast, Tyler is somehow more awesome than before - then Robert Downey jr shows up in a robot suit with missiles and blows stuff up. And Ultimate Chris Hemsworth is there. With a hammer. And then Bucky "B*tch T*ts" Barnes comes in and they find out his name was Robert Paulson after he takes a bullet to the head. Roll credits of the greatest film ever. Good lord I can't handle it.
