Apparently, over at the comic-con in the Big Apple, a few attendees got the chance to check out gameplay for Sega's Captain America: Super Soldier interactive video game. Said to heavily be like Batman: Arkham Asylum, check out the big tease of gameplay below.



Tied-in with Captain America: The First Avenger film, in an original WWII adventure, Captain America: Super Soldier is scheduled for release in 2011 on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system, Wii™ and Nintendo DS™. Looks mediocre... I was expecting something better. It definitely needs some graphic improvement.

Thanks Wolvie! I very much agree. I'm hoping they improve the graphics over the long time they have til it's release. But the guys who were playing it said it was like Arkham Asylum-so that's always a good thing.

Don't worry too much about the graphics guys, IGN said the game is still in pre-alpha form (read: early development). And it's not so much Sega finally taking the criticsms on their previous efforts, but that they aren't developing this one. It's being made by the team that made the most recent Punch-Out (for Wii) and Sega is publishing it.

Looks great!!!!! fix the face (which they will) and we're all set! still wish they would make a dare devil game like this tho, and use his radar as "detective mode" could be great!

Not so bad, though the animation of the shield, thrown-then-suddenly-back-on-the-back is pretty bad..

Hey, and he really has the face of Evans, actually! And.. Is that.. Arnim?? Really? He looks like a typical bruiser drone!

aaaawww maannn, the game REALLY needs a heck of a lot of improvements. the way Cap looks right now reminds me of Matt Salinger's 1990 Captain America movie costume.... it looks like padded rubber. I know its only a hastily made demo that and most of the stuff hasn't been polished yet, but I sure as hell hope that the finished product won't look that bad. they better listen to some fan inputs there on the demo floor because that's who they're making the game for.

i will forgive some of the errors in graphics and gameplay due to it being an early build... but still isnt this proof enough that cap costume just doesn't work on screen it looks horrible. glad they are changing it for the movie and i hope the game has alternate costumes.





If its as good as XMO: Wolverine (game not the movie) i will be happy enough

Ugh, I hope they polish the graphics in the next few months because that looks awful compared to the current generation of games. I'd actually say that it looks like it's on the PS2! Good find DCMF...here's hoping they improve it!

Regrettably this doesn't confirm that Zola will be in that form in the movie as they always add stuff into the games that wasn't in the movie. It looks average but then again it is just a rushed demo so they could show us something.

I really hope that Arnim Zola has his robot body in the movie too!:)... It would be so wrong to just show him as a human!

BTW the game looks... playable, but not even close at Arkham Asylum! It should be more grittier and Cap´s costume should look more like the one in the movie! It should be more intense like Batman was too!

MUST SEE INTERVIEW ABOUT THE GAME!


Developer says the game is stand alone in this interview, it also features some new info regarding where the game is actually at in development, its Pre-Alpha, and in very very early stages of even that.


Looks pretty darn good for long and away from Alpha. They still have thousands of animations to add witch is why it looks a little static he says. He mentions enemies will be much less static as well and that there positioning is just for demo purposes as they're so early in development.
