CAPTAIN MARVEL: Clark Gregg Teases Agent Coulson's 90s Fashion Sense And His First Meeting With Nick Fury

Clark Gregg has been playing Agent Coulson for a while now but Captain Marvel will take him back to the beginning as we meet the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent during a time when he was just a rookie who had no idea that there are extraordinary people (and extraterrestrials) out there. In Iron Man, he actually told Tony Stark that this wasn't his first rodeo so will Captain Marvel explore what exactly he meant?

"This might be the rodeo," Gregg explains to Entertainment Weekly. "It’s one of them, for sure."

"There was something really special about going back to the early days when he was just kind of coming up the ranks," he continues. "I had to take innocence workshops and go back to when he was a little less crusty and jaded! He’s a relatively new S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who is obsessed with MC Hammer and dresses just like him, and it makes Fury so angry. The genie pants don’t really go with the Armani." Terrible fashion sense aside, it seems we'll learn a lot about his relationship with Fury.

Gregg describes Coulson's first interaction with the future S.H.I.E.L.D. Director as a "meet-cute moment," although, he adds with a laugh, "I don’t think Sam will put it that way." Are you excited to see this first meeting between the characters? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
