New CAPTAIN MARVEL Set Photos Offer A First Glimpse At Jude Law As The Heroic Mar-Vell

Captain Marvel has assembled a mightily impressive cast but arguably one of its most exciting additions has to be Jude Law. The actor is making his superhero movie debut with the highly anticipated 2019 release which will see him take on the role of Mar-Vell, a.k.a. the original Captain Marvel. Now, the first photos of the actor on set have surfaced but what do they tell us about his role?

Not much! As you can see, he's mostly keeping himself covered up but does appear to be decked out in some very unique looking apparel beneath that. It's also worth noting that these shots are from between takes so not representative of what we'll see both heroes actually doing in the movie!

Despite that, it's still interesting to get this first glimpse of Mar-Vell, especially as we have no idea how much his Marvel Cinematic Universe counterpart will differ to the version in the comic books! Either way, Carol Danvers is clearly going to spend a big chunk of the movie in that green suit based on how much it keeps popping up on set. What do you guys think? As always, share your thoughts down below.

Call me old, but I had no idea Jude Law was in this. Hype train has left the station and is officially rolling.

@harley2011 - Did you ever see the behind-the-scenes video from the first X-Men flick, where nobody could step over a 2 foot retaining wall because their leather suits were too tight?

I’m guessing that’s what’s up... you save the skin-tight stuff for close ups and use the comfortable suit when the actor needs to run/jump/move. If necessary, you can digitally erase any awkward folds, but they probably don’t show up from the framing anyway.
