For whatever reason, there's a great deal of negativity surrounding The Marvels. Much of that can likely be traced back to the same people who review-bombed Captain Marvel in 2019 because, if the clip we saw yesterday is any indication, this sequel has the potential to be a blast.
While it's still tough to say how the movie will fare at the box office (we're hearing those latest lowball estimates are way off base), a Fandango poll suggests there's a lot of excitement for The Marvels.
The Marvel Studios sequel topped the list of titles heading our way over the next couple of months, beating Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Wonka, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and even Disney Animation's Wish.
Despite a dire 2023 for the DC Extended Universe, Jason Momoa seemingly remains a box office draw as Arthur Curry and the hope among fans is that the King of Atlantis gets to go out on a high.
Will results like these translate to box office success for both The Marvels and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom? We'll soon find out.
