DAREDEVIL Season 2 Will Feature A Battle Like The Hallway Fight Scene, But "On Crack"
Remember that awesome hallway fight scene from Daredevil season 1, episode 2? Of course you do! How could you forget it! In a recent interview, Charlie Cox revealed that the 2nd season will have a similar fight! However, it'll outdo the original by a pretty good margin...
Alongside Cox was Co-star Jon Bernthal, who took the time to discuss how Punisher will change up the show's style of fighting in the second season. "I think once you introduce a character like Frank Castle, once you introduce a character like Elektra, the stakes are raised a little bit in terms of the fighting." He then praised Phil Silvera, the fight coordinator of the series. "All of the sudden you're talking about weapons. Different questions are being brought up. I think what is the genius of Phil Silvera, the fight coordinator and stunt coordinator who choreographs these fights, is the fights are all character-driven and the fights tell a story. It's not just to look pretty or to look cool."
Let's get back to that awesome hallway fight scene! Cox spoke some more about that, and revealed why that was an intriguing scene for him to shoot. "Because it was shot in one [take], when we were shooting it -- and my stunt double [Chris Brewster] did much more of it than I did -- ... everyone was so tired. There was periods of time in the fight there were moments when he was leaning against the wall. That's something people forget to do when they edit a fight scene. That's what made it so real for me.
