Huksta Presents: THE DOCTOR STRANGE Fan-Cast

My casting choices for the MCU Doctor Strange movie.

This is my first Fan-Cast, so if you have some criticisms or complaints, try to be polite. I'm learning as we go here.

So why Doctor Strange?

Well, let's be honest, Robert Downey Jr. will only be Tony Stark/Iron Man for another few years at most. He's signed for Avengers 2 and 3, with his solo outings seemingly over with. Marvel needs a charismatic and prominent lead to take his place. While The Avengers was packed with humor, it was Stark who had most of the humorous lines. With this said, I think Dr. Strange could be a great replacement for Stark as the charismatic lead. While Strange has some good solo stories, he's also a quintessential character in many crossover events, and having him on the scene for future avengers films would make for better Avengers films in my opinion.

Onto the casting!

Gyllenhaal is my top choice for Strange. Why? Well, he's a phenomenal actor and I enjoy him in a lot of his different movies such as Donnie Darko, Source Code, Brokeback Mountain, and Zodiac. The latter of which he co-starred with Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr. who as many of you know are playing The Hulk and Iron Man respectively. Even so, I think he could play both sides of Strange, both before and after his life's transformation. He's also rocking a great look these days that's very close to Strange in my mind.

I could've gone with a few different love choices for Strange but just as Pepper is to Tony, for me Clea is to Strange. Her introduction would need to be changed slightly but I think she could make for a great love interest; and Cuthbert is both attractive and she can play a strong and confident female.

Phoenix has had a bit of a fall from grace after his disastrous mockumentary backfired and made him the joke within Hollywood. I think he needs a good villainous role to help establish himself once more. He's around the same age as Gyllenhaal, has considerable acting chops, and can play a great villain. For me, he'd be the perfect Mordo.

Ralph Fiennes is a great actor with a distinguishable voice that would make him perfect for Dormammu. I'd like to see Dormammu have a role near the end of the film, maybe Strange discovers through Mordo that Dormammu plans to conquer our dimension; to prevent this, Strange travels to the 'Dark Dimension' to confront Dormammu.

Ken is an excellent actor, and while we could go older with The Ancient One, I think Watanbe's acting skills alone would easily make up for his youthfulness. He also played a similar role as Ras Al Ghul's body double in Batman Begins.

Yeun is Glenn on Walking Dead, he's a good actor; and while Wong is not the most important player in the Strange world, he's certainly a key player and I think Yeun would do a great job of bringing him to life.

As predictable as your Ancient One and Dornamu are, I am fully behind, not only your Dr Strange, but Mordo, as well. I'm building a DCCU and I have used both of those gents. That is a fantastic duo. I love it and fully back it. Thx to you, I have found my new Strange.

Whoa, that is perfect casting! Hope Marvel Studios is looking at this. The more I think of this, the more I can actually see Gyllenhaal as Strange.

Jake Gyllenhaal for the Ghost Rider reboot. Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider. Dan Ketch is good but, not as interesting. I can see Gyllenhaal for Strange too but, I think there are actors more fit for the role than Jake is.

Phoenix is anything but a joke in Hollywood right now. He doesn't need a comic book role to prove himself.
