As beautiful as she is, I would have been much happier if they went with somebody with an African accent at least. Storm from the comics is so much better than this watered down nonsense this franchise has given us.

I wish they would reboot the entire franchise and do a movie featuring the original 5 X-Men as actual teenagers in a school for mutants and then have the sequel feature the second genesis team of Cyclops, Colossus, Wolverine, Nightcrawler and Lupita Nyong'o as STORM!

Another butchered and wasted X-Men character. Meh, Halle is a good actress but either she was miscast or the script didn't really do her character justice. Let's hope she goes all out in this one. Storm's powers are just beyond creating tornadoes and lightning.

I don't know why, but I get less and less excited about this movie..Fox doesn't do anything besides teasing and when tomorrow GOTG trailer hits, they will probably release a new DOFP trailer a couple of days later, like they did shortly after Cap 2, not because they care about the audience, but just because they are scared of losing competition in the face of the other CBM. This is how you don't do marketing. You don't win with only a teaser trailer and some magazine covers, 3 months before the release of your film. Fox really dropped the ball, imo.

and i had soo much hope when she was cast as storm years ago...
no character development whatsoever and no team dynamic, what we got from fox since the first movie?
how many great characters were left aside or just used as side note again and again in 5 movies,
colossus?
nightcrawler?
ciclops?
fenix?
kitty pride?
rogue?
in 600 hours of footage in 5 movies those characters,some of then very important to the series,have maybe 20 or 30 hours on screen counted together?!
honestly i don't understand how some people still have faith that they will do something better this time.
