Most of you have read the Harry Potter series and know what to expect, but that has all changed now that JK Rowling has approved of a change in the death of one of the main characters.
Andrew Ackland-Snow, the art director for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, told Cine Premiere Mexico a little bit about the change. Obviously if you haven't read the books,
SPOILER ALERT...
“We wanted to change a bit where Snape dies. In the book, he dies on the Shrieking Shack, and we wanted to get him out from, not a conventional interior, but from that kind of box, to do it in a more dramatic atmosphere. We asked J.K. if she agreed for that to happen in there, because we hadn’t really seen it before. We made a crystal house, and you can see what happens in the boathouse from there – Are you listening Harry? -, but also the school is in flames…and she loved it. Besides, it’s a very romantic place to die. Snape dies in a extremely good way, I gotta say.”
Now to my knowledge this hasn`t been confirmed or denied by anyone else since he said it, but who knows. Personally it doesn`t seem like it will affect the movie in a major way.
What do you guys think about the change, good or bad?
`Nuff said!
CBM Insert: For those of you who are complaining of the "spoiler" in the headline, Dustin wasn't responsible for it. WE changed it when we moved it from he main. And if you DIDN'T know that Snape dies... Where the hell have you been? Don't you read? This has been well-known since the book came out in 2007. As the most popular franchise of the age, you have to be an illiterate AND living under a rock to not know that. I suppose we shouldn't tell you this but... Darth Vader dies at the end of Star Wars... and so does Yoda. Now lay off of Dustin and pick up a book.
