Previously seen as scans, the original quality for the first images from the upcoming Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance movie have finally hit the net.

Empire Online has officially released the first Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance photos, that will be appearing in there upcoming issue of Empire Magazine.





Set several years after the first film, Johnny Blaze is in self-imposed exile from the world. Blaze has become a tormented soul, convinced that his powers are a curse. Former stuntman Blaze is then approached by Moreau, a member of the monastic order of Michael, the warrior angel. Moreau seeks a protector for a mother and son duo who are being pursued by a figure named Roarke – a fellow with a detailed knowledge of the Ghost Rider and his different identities over the centuries.

Ghorst Rider: Spirit of Vengeange stars Nicolas Cage, Johnny Whitworth, Idris Elba, and Ciarán Hinds and is set to be released on February 17, 2012

Images 1 and 3 are interesting me in this film. But...

Nic Cage transforming into that bad ass Ghost Rider is not convincing, he looks out of place in image 2.

Not interested - mum always said don't throw the baby out with the bath water - there is no need to update the GR and bike look from the first movie ... that character just needs a better movie.

This looks half arsed and cheap and made in Europe

Seriously, I really like the new Ghost Rider image. It looks far more natural and less CGI-like than the first movie. But Nicolas Cage is 47, and try as he might to act younger, it doesn't work that well.

Im lookin forward to this, not super excited like for the Avengers or Batman but I liked the first one and although Im on not a fan of the character hes pretty cool to watch on screen.
So I hope its good, and darker and more violent then the last one, does anyone know if its rated R? now that would be cool.

It's really sad to see everyone shafting Nic Cage on here. It's definitely a sign of the times considering that at one time the man could do no wrong in Hollywood. I feel for the guy. I do have to admit that the last role that I thought he was good in was Kick Ass.

As far as being Ghost Rider, he does okay, but I can see how another actor that is a bit younger could fill the role better. I'll still see it and I still think Nic Cage can be a good actor given the write material. Too bad Depp is Bruckheimer's new favorite actor because Cage and Bruckheimer made some good movies together.

The first pic is frickin cool but I still don't like Nick Cage that much for Ghost Rider. He is a great actor and all but he was just a miscast for this role. Idris Elba looks cool like always biut he is wearing the same contact lenses that he wore on Thor.

Also why is Ghost Rider out in the day time?

the first one was a good flick imo and i was really excited to hear that they were doing a sequel and keeping cage but i'm starting to lose interest just because of how little we're actually heard about it. i keep forgetting that it's coming out! anyways, the pics look awesome.
