Some fans have sent in pics of themselves posing with The Rock and Channing Tatum on the LA set of the GI Joe sequel to OLV. We have already seen The Rock as Roadblock, but this is our first look at the returning Channing Tatum as Plank..eh, Duke.

The movie is now shooting in New Orleans but these were taken at the St. Francisville, LA set as filming was wrapping up there last week. So there we see Duke. He's sporting some new army gear for this movie, would it be to much to hope that Tatum will be sporing some acting chops too?

i don't care what people say, I still think CT can be a great Duke...and seeing the Rock just makes me happy...so hell. I am on board for this, and I hated the first movie............do you think this movie will work? It doesn't matter what you think!!

Thank God Channing Tatum wasn't cast as Captain America. At least Chris Evans has multiple facial expressions. They could use a cardboard cutout of Tatum and the audience wouldn't know the difference.

Looks like they ditched the goofy impact armour. cant wait to see this, Channing or not, Duke was always a one dimensional do gooder, so it didn't bother me near as badly as some people. Seems a lot of geeks get defensive when really good looking men take lead roles, but bash geeks like Garfield for getting roles like Spiderman.

But that's th thing. WHY are you laughing? Because you're SUPPOSED TO hate on Tatum, or is it because Chris Evans is so much more of an actor than he is? Do you laugh when you actually think about how him and Evans are neck and neck performance-wise? Nah, it's shuts you up because you, like many, have never thought it through.

Now, don't get me wrong. Things attached to Tatum are known to be shit, that's why I felt the entire casting process for Cap was a joke when I saw his name. When Chris Evans was cast, Tatum was looking much better. Then, I thought about it. Tatum [frick]ing looks like Captain America and his weak points in acting would actually be strong in a 1940's hero role. Cap has a certain kinda over-the-top cornyness to him because of his patriotism but you respect him. Tatum acts just like that. Chris was way better than expected, but I think people should stop acting like Evans and Tatum aren't in the same boat. Niether one is A-List.

I just don't know if Tatum could have pulled off the skinny Rogers part. But he's military stiff enough to have done a fun Cap.

Tatum as Cap is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard. I mean, I've heard a few really bad ones, and that one is definitely up there in the bunch lol.

I like how none of the pics have Dwayne and Tatum together WITH the fans lol, those people were like 'umm, can we just get some with The Rock please' as Dwayne slowly pushing Tatum out of frame lol. Tatum then has sad face so a girl fan of Tatum (go figure, his only fanbase- girls) feels bad for Channing, so she asks to get one with him so he doesn't feel worthless. Meanwhile, the Rock takes hundreds of fan photos lol. (I think this is a true story lol).

I've seen driftwood with more range than Tatum, [frick] this talentless turd. I really thought the new director might salvage a half-way watchable movie this time out but now I've all but given up. Guess I'll at least wait and see what the trailers look like but probably it'll just end being a rental at best.
