Yesterday, I reported on how James Gunn said the Guardians Of The Galaxy footage would not get officially released online. Now he just Tweeted about some of that footage we desperately want to see.

If you aren't following the Guardians Of The Galaxy director and cast on Twitter, then you are missing out on a lot of cool behind the scenes updates like the one above, and other cool things related to Marvel's upcoming movie. How about... like Chris Pratt wishing co-star Dave Bautista a happy birthday?

I'm not very impressed with this guy's track record.

My faith in him is unsubstantiated, but it's there.

My excitement for this movie skyrocketed when Bautista was cast as Drax. The uniqueness of the team really got my attention.

I read it as "Director James Gunn, Chris Pratt And Dave Bautista Hard For GOTG"

Thought that was a surprisingly graphic headline. :O

Awesome! Seems like Gunn really wants to make this movie as good as it can be! Great for him!

BTW, I must say I remember seeing Slither back when it was in theaters. Really enjoyed it then. Would love to watch it again.

@ mrsundaynight

ant-man will be a success if they keep the budget low as possible,so it won't be too differcult making its money back.

This guy sounds like a hell of a director, he also has some pretty good movies like Super and Slither. I am sure he will make GOTG great! Plus...this dude wrote both Scooby Doo movies, when I seen he did that, I was like "WTF?!"

@rockerdude22

I enjoyed slither very underrated flick but if you got netflix they have it.

I really wish Marvel would move up the release date up at 1 or 2 weeks of Aug. 1st. It just feels like the movie will make more money if it was released in July

TheMadman

@Omarvls: because Captain America comes out in April, Spidey is in May, DOFP is sometime in may or June and so it'll be the last Marvel movie that year with it being a startup film and no one hearing of the guardians. Gives a bit of time for the public to want to see it.

For those who don't know... Guardians Of The Galaxy is the Marvel equivalent to The Dirty Dozen meets Star Wars.

JoJo1982 well there is dawn of the planet of the apes coming out in July. That's the only big movie that comes to mind but it shouldn't be a problem for GOTG

What do you think is going to be considered a success for this film and Antman? I think if each makes over a 100 million in the US and a couple hundred million overseas that would be really tremendous. Anybody have an idea on the budget, I can't seem to find it. I'm probably more excited for this then even the Avengers.

i hope next year cbms are more universally loved and...less controversial,anyway , there only 4 superhero films coming out next year and they are 4 this year, screw people who say they are too many superhero films being made , out of the 50 something movies that come out every year, they are only 4 that are superheroes.

Therealremylebeau- i agree, august is also when not many blockbusters come out so there will be less competition for guardians

the rest of the month has ninja turtles, expendables 3 and sin city 2 after guardians comes out

therealremylebeau- yep, i agree, i think audiences might be alittle burned out right now if the results of kick ass 2 are any indication and hopefully having a break for 2-3 months will give audiences a bit of rest and people will be hyped to what The god of thunder brings
JoJo1982
JoJo1982 - 8/20/2013, 5:50 PM
Well we got dawn of the apes in July

And we got Expendables 3, Sin City 2, Tmnt. And fifty shades of grey in August

GotG should go for July
Minato
Minato - 8/20/2013, 5:57 PM
People still think Sin City is coming out anytime soon with as many times as it has been pushed back? Expendables doesn’t do big numbers at the BO anyway. TMNT hinges on what the word of mouth for the movie is. If its too different from the nick show then kids are going to feel segregated and if its too different from the classics the adults will feel some kind of way. I think GOTG got as much a shot of being the movie for that month as any. So far the quality looks better IMO.

Next year has the potential to kick so much ass. I don't know what movie has me more hyped. I would have never imagined ten years ago, that I would have a year where cap, GotG, spidey, and xmen are on the big screen. Yeah "MakeMinesMarvel" is an understatement. If we had a f4 next year, all major groups of marvel would have been represented in one year. Feels so good to be a comic geek right now.
JoJo1982
JoJo1982 - 8/20/2013, 6:09 PM
@2challa

Yeah but once GotG comes week later Tmnt and after that Expendables well take its male audience and kid audience.

For example do you think Iron Man 3 would made as much money if came out in the middle of June.

Plus August is the time when movies do slow in box office for ex: Elysuim, Kick Ass 2, etc... Aren't doing big business
