Mark Ruffalo Dismisses Talk Of A PLANET HULK Movie; "You Need More Banner"
Echoing the thoughts of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Avengers: Age of Ultron star Mark Ruffalo expresses interest in Planet Hulk, but reiterates that one is not in the works and that it could be too early for a movie which would feature little to no Bruce Banner.
A Planet Hulk movie has been rumoured again and again, but the denials keep on coming, and if the plan is to still give the Green Goliath his own solo outing after his successful reintroduction in 2012's The Avengers, it won't take place in outer space! Talking to MTV News, Mark Ruffalo shared his thoughts on the beloved comic book story, before adding, "I don’t think ['Planet Hulk'] is the way to go yet. I think you need more Banner. The whole thing is just him as Hulk, on a planet, fighting other gladiators." It's a fair point, but could the story not be changed to feature a lot more of the Hulk's human alter ego? We'll have to wait and see, and it wouldn't be at all surprising if a Hulk movie is among those announced at Marvel's panel during next month's San Diego Comic Con.
