Robert Downey Jr. Arrives In South Korea To Kick Off IRON MAN 3 Press Tour

Performing "Gangham Style" much to the delight of fans in South Korea, Robert Downey Jr. has kicked off his Iron Man 3 press tour by talking more about what we should expect from the highly anticipated threequel and how it differs from previous instalments in the franchise.

In a worldwide press tour which starts in South Korea and will take him from Beijing to Moscow, Munich, Paris, London, Los Angeles and New York, Robert Downey Jr. has kicked things off in style as he performed "Gangham Style" for those lucky enough to be in attendance at the event in Seoul. "First of all I really want to thank the fans that came to the airport yesterday to greet me in Korea," said the actor. "I had a long flight and it was a very lovely surprise. It was like 10 o’clock and pretty late to be driving to the airport, and I just wanted to say I really appreciate it."

After talking more about his surprise at the success of the franchise and how grateful he is for the hugely positive response it has received in that part of the world, Downey Jr. went on to share his thoughts on why fans should check out Tony Stark's fourth outing on the big screen. "I’m a pretty tough critic on these things and I think this third one is really worth a couple of hours to spend to go to see at a theater." Iron Man 2 received a mixed response from critics, so perhaps that's why the actor believes it was important to take the Armoured Avenger back to basics for this latest movie. "[We] figured it would be nice to get back to a little more of what we saw in the first Iron Man, which is Tony in the suit a little bit less, or only in parts of the suit, or developing a bunch of new suits for your viewing pleasure."

He finished by saying that he believes Iron Man 3 will stand out from past instalments due to the fact that a lot of the threequel takes place in some unusual locations. "I think a lot of what occurs in Iron Man 3 is that he actually goes to the parts of America that aren’t New York or Los Angeles," Downey Jr. reveals. "It is a road trip of sorts, and I think he gets back to an understanding that he is just a worker amongst workers and he is just another person, and I think that's actually very helpful to him."

With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. Please North Korea doesn't even know what comic books or movies are. And yeah if Kingsley portrayed Mandarin as North Korean, that would have been pretty funny.
