Last year Morgan revealed in an interview that one comic character he would love to play was the ultra violent DC comics bruiser Lobo. That was back when Guy Ritchie was supposed to be directing, but since that fell thorough we haven't heard anything else on the subject. Morgan had a chat to MTV about it at the red carpet for The Losers premier...

"I got nothing on 'Lobo,'" said Morgan "I don't know where that stands in the world of filmmaking at this point. I know they were talking about doing some tests early on, but I don't know where it stands now."

"I've never actually had an real discussions with Joel [Silver] or Warner Bros. about it," he said.



Shame that. I think he would be a great Lobo..unless of course people would get confused and think he was The Comedian in white make up..or Clay from The Losers:) Anyway, Joel Silver has said that test footage for the film had been done and also that Lobo would most likely follow The Losers, so given Morgan's involvement in that project I reckon its only a matter of time before he and Silver have a little chat about it.

Lobo sounds like an awful idea. last i heard about it, they said it would take place on Earth, and that Lobo would have a human teenage girl following him around. oh yeah, and it would be PG-13.

Unfortunately, it will be a long time before this gets made. Silver has too many irons in the fire and is already committed to Sherlock Holmes 2 as his next big production.

If Lobo is a serious character Morgan should play him but if they make him a silly character Kevin Durand should play him. I would rather Morgan go back to Supernatural I miss his character on that show.

Rourke would be perfect as The Goon back when he did Sin City if they decided to make it live action. Someone like Jason Statham would be better.

They'll have to redo the premise of the script that they were talking about. Have Lobo on Earth or somewhere tracking a fugitive and using his greater experience to stay one step ahead of Superman/Green Lantern or whomever who's also trying to bring him in.

i agree man! Lobo shouldn't have his own movie, he should appear in a Superman movie or something. UNLESS they plan on making it a Rated-R movie.

everything i've heard about this movie sounds like shit. DC has so many other characters they should be concerned with making a movie of, why Lobo???
