But honestly what would be the point of Captain Marvel or (shudder) Shazam if he isn't in the DC Universe...?
ALegendaryPanda - 11/5/2014, 8:26 PM
Nick Mundy needs to sit his fat ass down somewhere. Always complaining about something...
ScottMontgomery - 11/5/2014, 8:26 PM
I love the Mundy and Rock bromance!

Dingbat - 11/5/2014, 8:26 PM
I hope it's connected
ALegendaryPanda - 11/5/2014, 8:26 PM
He is pretty funny sometimes though
TheRedCondom - 11/5/2014, 8:26 PM
[frick], Goyer is in charge of this too??
TheRedCondom - 11/5/2014, 8:27 PM
The Rock is the shit, so I'm definitely watching this
Dingbat - 11/5/2014, 8:27 PM
@ALegendaryPanda

lol. Dude's a cartoon character.
RR51 - 11/5/2014, 8:27 PM
I am surprised The Rock actually remembers Nick Mundy. Pros to the guy.
ALegendaryPanda - 11/5/2014, 8:28 PM
And this movie better be connected to the damn DC universe. None of this "multiverse" "connected but not connected" shit.
Dingbat - 11/5/2014, 8:28 PM
@RR51

Dude, they're best friends.
pickleweasel2 - 11/5/2014, 8:29 PM
@theredcondom

Some random dude on twitter said Goyers in charge so he must be in charge huh? Internet logic
TheDarkPassenger - 11/5/2014, 8:32 PM
Why is Shazam getting priority over other shit anyway?
blackandyellow - 11/5/2014, 8:34 PM
That sucks. I'm still pumped to see the Big Red Cheese.
mrHJK - 11/5/2014, 8:34 PM
Oh, I think I see the problem. Josh has confused the word "tone" for "continuity" ...
Battabing - 11/5/2014, 8:34 PM
I'm willing to bet that it is connected, just that Billy isn't a part of the JL.
Cyborg, GL, Flash, Shazam, Aquaman, and even Superman and Batman (to a lesser extent) have all been revitalized by Geoff Johns.

I think they're all meant to be part of the same universe.
It seems like the movies will still be given some degree of freedom to stand on their own as rumor suggests that the Wonder Woman movie will be a period piece set in the 1920s.
SuperCat - 11/5/2014, 8:35 PM
"...will have a tone unto itself." Please don't try to make this a comedy :(
TheRedCondom - 11/5/2014, 8:35 PM
@pickleweasel2

You never know when it comes to WB
SuperCat - 11/5/2014, 8:35 PM
I hope they cast an unknown for Captain Marvel.
tazmaniak - 11/5/2014, 8:37 PM
@HurricaneXavier, I think it is separate. Notice that he specifically calls it a New Line/DC property as opposed to a WB/DC property?
String - 11/5/2014, 8:37 PM
Isn't Shazam -a New Line movie? It was the only movie being made by Warner's subsidary company. That alone should had raised some concern how connected it would be with the other Justice League DC movies.
mgeoff88 - 11/5/2014, 8:38 PM
Who is Nick Mundy? Anyways, David Goyer is busy working on Constantine.

He is no longer attached to DC movies moving forward.

Also, with The Rock playing Black Adam, there is no way they would have Shazam separated from the DCCU.
MercwithMouth - 11/5/2014, 8:39 PM
@SuperCat

Why not? Gonna need some comedy to attract the GA to the strange concept of Billy Batson.
Nickk - 11/5/2014, 8:42 PM
i will be disappointed if his not connect.@SuperCat it will be cool if they cast an unkown like they did with cyborg
bigdannymac - 11/5/2014, 8:50 PM
This doesn't mean anything.. GotG had it's own tone.. but guess what? it's all connected
GarthRanzz - 11/5/2014, 8:51 PM
Good. I don't think it should be connected. Not a fan of shared universes. Shazam is too light hearted to live in a world of Batman.
smlaude - 11/5/2014, 8:51 PM
lost a ton of respect just because he said "homie"... what a try-hard
TheOverlord - 11/5/2014, 8:52 PM
[frick] DC's lame-ass "Shazam" -- give me the genuine Captain Marvel.
JamesMan - 11/5/2014, 8:54 PM
This is really grasping, he just said it'll have it's own tone which is what I expected from all the DC films.
GhostDog - 11/5/2014, 8:55 PM
SHAZAM is an adventurous and light heated fun character. Tone doesn't fit gritty serious dc films.
GhostDog - 11/5/2014, 8:55 PM
I wouldn't mind it being outside DC universe
Wannabe - 11/5/2014, 8:56 PM
I think some of you need to have some damn patience. This film is very far from release. Nothing's been confirmed except for the Rock's involvement as Black Adam. Keep cool and await the official details when they arise.
