I prefer the black webbing to the silver.

Absolutely loved TASM, although can someone explain to me how petere comes up with the idea of the webshooters? I remember the scene of him making them in the basement like we all saw in the trailers too, but did I miss a part where he actually thinks of the swinging concept and how he makes the webbing? Also does he definitely use the classis *thwip* hand gesture? Only noticed it at the end with the very final shot, I do realise that everything time apart from that shot would be harder to notice as its quick action and swinging all the time, but the original trilogy jaded make it quite obvious

I really like the narrow eyes, reminds me of Gabrielle Del'Otto's Spidey. I wish they went with that design for the movie.

@The14thAvenger: Swinging from the chains and the report about Oscorp's web cable stuff that they were manufacturing. So he doesn't make the webbing itself, it comes from Oscorp.

I wish they had gone cloth suit and maybe like a one way white material for the eyes to keep the homemade feel but i still think in that regard TASM did better than Spidey 2002 (how did he make all that rubber trim lol)

Why do all the concept art have spiderman with silver lines on his bodies in the new one the lines are black

These are AWESOME!!!

@Frogman, @The14thAvenger: If I'm not mistaken, I think Peter actually found some of the web cartridges in his dad's briefcase. Correct me if I'm wrong though. I was also under the impression that his dad created the webbing compound (which I thought was a very cool aspect of the story) and now Oscorp is manufacturing it.

Personally I think the new costume dominates Raimi's. I hated the raised webbing, it always looked goofy and didn't really make sense. What material is that? Seems like something that would not be very durable. Amazing Spider-Man's costume makes more sense, still doesn't look like a kid could make it, but neither does Raimi's.

As spiderman was better portrayed in this i saw staright past the suit even though its not that bad. Who was complanaing about the suit when he was going at it with lizard or when he was swinging around?

I don't really like the stripes on the legs. It's just weird. The blue on the gloves is stupid too.

how hard is it to get the eyes right. four movies. four damn movies and not one got the eyes right.
Stumblin
Stumblin - 7/6/2012, 10:42 AM
@JackDexx, what are you even talking about? Spider-Man doesn't have one set design for his eyes, the design has gone through countless redesigns because of era of comics, costume changes or because of an artist's interpretation.

Really cool concepts hope they use the criminal concept in the sequel, it would be more Spidey like unlike the movie where he didn't really stop and fight any criminals for the city.

Very close to the final product I love the symbol in the chest :)

Something in the vein of this design would have been cool. Just should have made the red area on chest and belly more wider and webbing on the suit black and it would have been perfect. :)

My favorite is the second full body but such a complex design would be impossible to do for a teenager, Even so would not bother me to see it in the screen

I'm glad they didn't decide to go with the silver lines that appeared in the raimi version, for some reason even though they were a small detail I never was able to completely like the raimi suit because of them, however loved the new suit and the new movie, I got the same Feelings of awe that I did when I saw the original movie in theaters ten years ago
