Hey, everyone!

Yours truly is back at CinemaCon for what should hopefully be an extremely eventful week as every major studio previews their biggest upcoming theatrical releases and we're kicking off the festivities with Sony Pictures, who should have plenty of updates about their hotly-awaited Marvel films.

While Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will understandably be at the forefront of their nearly two-hour presentation, we should also get first looks at Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web tonight, and probably something forVenom 3. However, the biggest question on everyone's mind going in should be whether we'll get an official announcement for Spider-Man 4, which is long overdue.

Outside of the Marvel offerings, we should probably expect No Hard FeelingsGran Turismo, The Equalizer 3, and Napoleon to get spotlighted, and knowing Sony, we'd expect a surprise or two before the night is over as well, so stay tuned!

The Sony Pictures presentation begins on April 24 at 6:15 PM PST (9:15 PM EST).

Follow along below and leave your comments in the usual space!

You think they're just going to announce spiderman4, or do you think they will mention some plot details, or who the antagonists are, etc ?

@Vigor - most likely no sm4 announcement. cinema con is supposed to be only movies between april 2023 to april 2024. its not sdcc where they announce future films. its mostly about films that are confirmed to come out within a year.

I hope we get a title for Venom or Spider-Man. Something like a poster or a teaser for Madame Web would be nice too.

@Mrcool210 - and I was hoping they would finally announce an Aunt May and Uncle Ben Weekend at Bernie’s style origin movie and they are lugging around Pete’s dad and they reveal Norman Osborn is this crazy guy who did experiments on goblins in another dimension and goes into this other dimension to become the goblin king and comes back to Earth as the Green Goblin King and tries to take over the world but Peter Parker is like 5 so he can’t be Spider-Man yet but he builds a time machine to zap a future version of him into the past to fight the green goblin king and Harry Osborn is revealed to be the future Spider-Man and Venom is Peter Parker who is the evil mastermind behind it all then Carnage shows up played by Tom Cruise and runs around attacking people with scissors and Aunt May transforms into a giant spider and she reveals she carried the spider genetics in her because she is a spider alien person from another dimension and also uncle ben is too and they infected Peter Parker giving him his powers in the future and suddenly cats and dogs reign down from the sky literally cats and dogs and Morbius becomes a Galactus sucks the oceans of the Earth that are now blood to become super Morbius and to absorb planet Earth then you got Eddie Brock who teams up with Mr Clean to try and save the Earth they are the like the only hope left then Rosenbell my faithful horse trots in and rainbow kicks super Morbius into the sun and the big wheel races around Earth to reverse time and the day is saved by Batman who reminds us to brush our teeth to prevent cavities and Robin shows up and twerks with Gandalf who dance off into the night with a special appearance by Elvis played by Eminem who does a rap song and tells us how awesome this movie was roll credits

@GhostDog - chandor's 4/4 for me rn even if triple frontier was a step down from his first 3, but the footage sounds like it could be really cool. so curious on who's rhino... nivola? Abbot? CROWE??!
GhostDog
GhostDog - 4/24/2023, 10:42 PM
@tmp3 - yea I wasn’t a fan of triple frontier but he’s been pretty consistent since Margin call.

Nivola is my pick

Gran Turismo is "based on a true story". But as stated the game has no story. So they took a racing biopic movie and then named it after a video game to push tickets...cool.
LlamaLord
LlamaLord - 4/25/2023, 12:08 AM
@Mrcool210 - It's based on the true story of the winner of "GT Academy". Which was a real academy run in partnership with the video game with the goal of turning fans of the game into real racers.
SeanMPC
SeanMPC - 4/25/2023, 4:40 AM
@Mrcool210 - Yeah but... the story is literally about a guy who played the Gran Turismo game for years and then became a real driver. So it makes complete sense?
Mrcool210
Mrcool210 - 4/25/2023, 7:51 AM
@SeanMPC - Ah...was unaware of that. Fair enough then
